Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) is Dead [merged]

I am going to put myself in the devil's chair & say, he got what he deserve! I'm shock it was a croc that didn't get him first. Long b4 the baby controversy, I was appalled by his behavior & treatment of wildlife. When does harassing animals become entertaining!? Instead of making wildlife the star (which was commonplace thru the 80's), this asshole (& many others) make the human the focus. I don't care about you, I tune in for the animals/nature in it's habitat. In the wild, humans don't interact with these creatures. This is no big loss, but a chance endangered species may be left alone. Too bad we can't see the footage of his death...now that would be entertaining. Nature getting it's revenge!

Nice!

JUB rules prevent me from saying what I truly think about this post.

May you live in interesting times.......

Heaven needed a special animal handler. While it's sad news, he's in a place where he'll continue doing what he loved, and be able to watch over his family.

RIP.

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

Sad to see anyone die But what an odd way to die at that.

I was never a fan and the thing with his baby and the crock was way Bizaar!!

I watched his shows a few times but it always seemed like he was tormenting every animal he ran across. They used to do a number on him on SOUTH PARK that was very funny.

Give me Jeff Corwin anytime.

Hope I don't get blasted for agreeing with you 99%. The only thing I wouldn't want to see is the footage of his death. But you are right, since when does encroaching upon animals habitats and scaring them all to hell become entertainment? -

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

He certainly was a man that I could have loved. I've given up more than one load for him. ^ and I believe "Crikey" was one of his trademark words. I'm certainly going to miss seeing him on TV.

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

whats wierd is that he handled so many deadly animals, that a placid one that was only being observed killed him, and i dont think there has been a stingray related death for decades.shame, he should have went out in a blaze of glory wrestling a croc on live tv.

you may not want to, but i sure will...
I may not post on jub all that much (i come here for the porn!) mainly because i get fed up with all the whiney, bitchy posts, but this one takes the biscuit.
you, jassicarabit99 are a number1, grade A+ TWAT! what a stupid, insensitive thing to say, about a man, that was not only a great ambassador to his country, but also had a huge love for all animals.
I find your post sicking and very, very offensive.
out of the people that could of got stabbed by that barb tis a pity it was you and not him.

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

I feel sorry for his family, but to me Steve Irwin was THE most annoying man on the planet.

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

Couldn't believe it when I heard it this morning! Weird too!
He was such a hands on guy, and was doing a dive with sting rays. One apparently got annoyed and smacked him with it's tail, injecting it's barbs...and it hit him in the heart. The deadly toxin went straight to his system and they could not revive him.
I was not much of a fan, but I LMAO when I did watch him.
He leaves behind a wife and 2 kids.
Rest in peace.

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

the toxins of a stringray cant kill a man but its barb did pierce his heart so thats what killed him,

Re: Crikey! He's Dead!

I'm shocked and dismayed. I loved his ass in those straining shorts and thought he was kind of sweet albeit in a quirky way. I never knew weather to want to fuck him or pat him on the head and give him a lolly pop. I think he was kind of an innocent sole. I liked his wife too. Maybe she can carry on their vision somehow (whatever it was).

I'm sure the poor little things are scared routinely. I should suspect that as long as they didn't end up as his dinner, which is the way of things out there in the wild, they'd be pretty glad. Isn't life all about surviving encounters with things both familiar and foreign, harmful and not?

And isn't the occasional terrified chameleon worth it when someone is able to show the entire world something they have never seen before and may never see again, in particular if he is drawing attention to it being endangered or something similar?

Steve Irwin may have been a nutter, but he was my kind of nutter. I'll miss his enthusiasm and passion greatly.

Even though he could be annoying as hell when I had a migraine (can't stand enthusiasm then), his programs were the only reason Animal Planet is even on my TV. I've always had a 'thing' for him (not necessarily looks, mind you) and it's very unsettling to realize that he's now dead.

I wonder what they'll do with the documentary.

I heard at lunch time. Poor kids, now having to grow up without their dad.

I like Steve, and also found him incredibly annoying too. But everything about him spoke passion about animals and his understanding, expertise and experience always shone through. Terri and the kids will no doubt honour him by carrying on his work.

Right through the heart, that stingray barb. Poor guy. :(

i'm sorry its sad and alll cause i did enjoy his shows and stuff but that just seems somewhat anticlimactic... i kinda wished he would have been mauled by a crocadile.... or at least a reptile... poor guy....

Nicely said i thort that took it too far, keep the nasty comments to yourself!! im sure it will be another story if you new the person face to face!!
no, i would say it to his/her/its face.
i am not one of these faceless cowards who sit behind a keyboard and type threats.
and a two little hints for you, use commas or paragraphs when typing and learn how to spell, thort? whats a thort? or did you mean thought perhaps?#-o
