It's always been a challenge to explain to my str8 friends why I'm SO obsessed with her... My attempted explanation of, "Umm...Well, it's not a 'sexual' thing so much as a 'spiritual' one..." Just leaves them nodding their heads numbly while eyeing the quickest 'Exit'.

Stevie Nicks Open Taco Hut.....i started laughing as soon as i read that! I had totally forgotten that SNL skit, the first time i saw it was on SNL the first time as it happened. Maybe it was the effects of the weed me & my friends smoked, but we could'nt believe what we were watching, or stop laughing. I wonder if Stevie ever saw that and what she thought?
My love for Stevie will never die, and as gay as i am, she makes me wish she was my age (26) so i could have her. It's not just her looks or her voice, she just has "it" and you can't put your finger on it. Probably THE hottest video i ever saw by any musical artist is her singing "Rhiannon" with Fleetwwod Mac in '76 or '77 that my dad has on a VERY old vhs tape. There is no audience, and the set is rather dark, but holy fuck what a performance! Stevie is in a black chiffon flowing dress that is mostly see-thru, and her hair is in the typical 70's Farrah do. She sings the last half of the song as if possessed, and you can't take your eyes off her. She will be 59 in May, and she still has a hold on me.
I've seen Fleetwood Mac twice, and Stevie several times. I did manage to get 2nd row center floor seats to see her once, and the security people were really cool about letting people get up to the stage. I had brought her a rose to toss up on stage, but i actually got to hand it to her. She leaned down and mouthed "Thank you sweetie!" and i was in a state of shock for days afterward. Unlike most performers i've seen, she actually looks better up close! She smelled like Giorgio, and her skin is perfect....not much make-up either. She has the most beautiful smile, too bad there are'nt more pictures of her smiling.

I think I told you Joshy that I saw Fleetwood Mac in STL about 4 or 5 years ago.

I swear to god when Lindsey started playing Big Love, I was hard the entire time.

And of course I was getting very teary eyed during Silver Springs!

On par with Simon and Garfunkel as one of the best concerts of my life. And I've seen a lot!
