Quoted for truth.

But it does reveal that the far right is just frantic; they've got nothing.

Another EPIC FAIL response from rareboi.

Cant even come up with his own response. Pitiful.

i happen to have scheduled my vacation that week and wasn't planning on doing anything. So i'm hopping the amtrak and I will be there!

It didn't used to be this way, but it sure has become consistently the case....

I've found a good way to illustrate the definition of the word "vacuous": posts by justapixel.

I see that Colbert has made a sick, unfunny joke about gay Iowans

Here is what reporters are saying about the unfunny Colbert:

"REALLY not sure this is funny," wrote ABC News' Rick Klein.

"Colbert is making a mockery of this hearing," said Mother Jones' David Corn.

"Colbert's testimony made a mockery of Congress," said the Washington Post's Aaron Blake.

The Hill's Mike O'Brien said, "This might be the most amazing public stunt before Congress."

National Review's Kathryn Lopez wrote that "a congressional chairman made a joke of her committee today."

I thought it was hilarious!

Still, damned Democratic Congress is wasting taxpayer dollars on this rubbish??? They should take a leaf from the last Republican-controlled Congress, and stick with serious testimony, like...

I hope you have a big bladder.

Comedy Central organizers are having a hard time finding port-o-potties for their rallies to take place in a week and a half, after the Marine Corps Marathon planners snatched up about 800 of them for the same weekend.

The organizers of Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and Stephen Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive, both to take place Saturday, Oct. 30, have asked the marathon staff to share the portable toilets with their 65,000 expected to attendees.

But the Marines aren't budging -- they plan to lock the toilets until the morning of their race the day after, they tell the New York Times.

Odds are this will be just as much of a colossal failure as the Socialist/Communist backed 10-2 Rally.

How can this rally be a colossal failure? They're not even standing for anything. It's two comedians going on stage talking about whatever the hell they want. They have no other purpose other than to point out absurdities in the world and make people laugh.

No one showing would be a failure.

And they're not going to "talk about anything they want", they've already said what their rallies are about.

As for Colbert, I make no statements; as for Stewart, I think he really is sick of the extremes, and that will be the point. Sure, he'll make fun of them, but who wouldn't want to make fun of people (on the one hand) who have a book they love to beat people over the head with but don't really understand what's in it, or (on the other hand) people whose version of a tidy country approaches having everyone working for the government?

I ran across something you guys going to DC might want to look into. Knowing the past affairs of the DC police, here are two pdf's of your rights.

They tell you when or when not to talk to police, FBI, INS or any official.

If you get into trouble, remember I told you so.

The ACLU should print out little cards for people to hand to the police saying all this.
