Still Processing. Worst restaurant experience ever.

Its always alcohol that is to blame for situations like this. If you walk into a restaurant and hear a particularly loud table, they are surely drinking.

I'm glad you were honest with that woman. People shouldn't be able to go out and get drunk and ruin everyone else's evening with no repercussions.

One of the absolute worst experiences was a Christmas Eve Steak N Shake trip! Ok we actually started off bright and early one December 23rd, as per our usual we were finishing ALOT of last minute gifts and stocking stuffers we ate breakfast and lunch out to get a head start so we wouldnt have to wait around at home well the day progressed and progressed and it was 11pm and we decided to get our 3rd meal out nothing wa sopen so we decided to hit a steak n shake big fucking mistake! We were seated promptly and were told someone would be with us soon that turned into 30 minutes which turned into 45 which turned into an hour finally after an hour fifteen minutes (by the way Merry Christmas by this point) we finally had our order taken! We should have known something was up tables were filthy, dishes piled up, the floor a mess no one working the counter the bathroom needed work! Our food finally arrived an hour after we placed the order it is now 1 am Christmas Eve! We were gold yhey were severely understaffed and they were not able to close as per their general manager orders! They really needed to close and clean and reset themselves and pare down the menu nothing fancy just burgers and fries! I mean what kind of horses ass manager refuses to let their place close for an hour or two so it doesnt look like Yucca Flat after the blast!? I was getting to the point where I was going to go back there and start washing some dishes so we could finally eat! It was the only thing around! We were screwed there was nothing else! We ate and finally got home after 2am Christmas Eve Morning I walked in the door took off my shoes and went straight to bed in my jeans and sweater!

I have sent out a note to all the people we are dining with on the 18th to let them know we have changed the venue.

The irony is that this is the restaurant we wanted to take our other friends to...and the one that the horrible restaurant stole their menu from.

Olive Garden, Clovis California. Spontaneous decision to stop after noticing no line of customers coming out the door yet on this Friday night. Following a short wait I was escorted through the main dining area past a table of 11 or 12 that appeared to still be in the process of getting arranged and sitting down. My table was around a corner in a side room, almost to the end of the room - well away from the large party.
My problem that evening? Our room was attended by 3 servers who all were working tables in other parts of the building. The time between visits from my waiter/server kept getting longer and longer. I’m a pretty patient guy with waitstaff. I believe tipping starts at minimum 15% every meal (usually better); I look them in the eye when I say thank you; and I know shit happens that is completely out of waitstaff control.
On three different occasions this night, after waiting ridiculously longer and longer to see my guy, I had to ask other waitstaff for help locating my waiter. He was always politely apologetic when he would finally appear. By the time I was ready to pay for the meal, I’d learned from the other waitstaff that in addition to my table my guy was servicing the large party in the main area and another table in a third room. And he was relatively new.
I gave my credit card to the waiter with the instruction I wanted the manager to bring it back for my signature. He apologized and I told him not to worry, it wasnt his fault. I would be following up to make sure no trouble came his way.
I told the manager the stupidity of splitting the tables the way were. He should have adjusted his staff better the minute he decided to seat the large party, and in the future train the host/hostess/waitstaff to better communicate with management When there is an obvious problem. I said this was a management problem not the waiter. That I fully intended to follow up with the DM to make sure the kid isn’t singled out and punished.
To hammer the point home I wouldnt take an adjustment to my bill and the kid got his full tip.

I'm sorry you and your friends had to go through that RB,(*8*) I agree with the others, the staff and especially the Manager need a good ass kicking. I waited tables in a quite fancy restaurant when in college and it was drummed into us by the Manager to make sure that EVERY customer had a great dining experience. I also agree the more some woman drunk the more obnoxious some of them could get, I used to go home some nights with black and blue ass cheeks from getting pinched by some of the drunken old hoes. Good on you for leaving a crap review, hopefully they up their game. (*8*)
