To optimize the stinging effect, the hairs on the plants must hit the skin without being flattened. My experience is that once the nettle leaves are pressed under the foreskin, the stinging hairs are broken and lose effect. Better is to stroke the stinging nettle hairs gently over the glans and the skin inside the foreskin while holding this back.
