so my friend saves money on music by ripping videos from youtube, converting them to mp3s and saving them to my his phone. it's justifiable cuz my friend listens to so many genres of music that it would cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to purchase all of this music. anyway, my friend uses 2 or 3 websites that convert youtube videos to mp3 but right now my friend just tried those sites and several others and none of the sites are able to convert videos to mp3, is youtube cracking down? i my friend legit had to spend like 20 minutes finding an obscure website to convert a video to mp3. in fact i'm not even talking about music it's non-copyrighted content that my friend wants to save to his phone as mp3s but youtube is so stingy what the eff is going on?

This is interesting to me because I save YouTube content "as is" to all my devices.
While I don't convert anything, I have noticed that YouTube is constantly changing in the background.
I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube "edits" your account depending on what you do with any regularity.

Whew. I just tried it because that's where I get a lot of music as well. Two of them worked just fine. Now I have two 40 second mp3s of a duck.

A lot of the time the conversion will fail. Maybe because too many people are using it.

I forgot about that, heavy online traffic could be the problem.
