The thing about her credibility is the certainty that, even if the story were to only have a 1% probability of being true instead of the 99%, the entire world knows it's 100% true to his philandering nature.

The only question, even among his votaries, is whether it's relevant, much as Clinton's ssupporters dismissed the Lewinsky affair as being immoral but irrelevant.

All that to say, I believe her testimony will be found credible by the jury, and his cover up certain with the documents in hand to prove it, so he will be convicted. As rich people so often do, he'll not be taken into custody until the sentencing, much like Mr. Cohen, and allowed to just check in.

We drag off poor people with no notice, nor even let them get properly dressed, but he'll be afforded a period to make arrangements.

One wonders how a man with Secret Service protection will be able to serve time in a federal prison with a security detail. Will be quite the show. You can bet the sentence will be time, especially after his contempt of court.

Regardless of the charge given to the jury about evidence and the scope of the allegations, they will indeed be influenced by whether they believe the threat of her story was only a shakedown, and not based in fact.

Undoubtedly that is why the prosecutor insisted on the withering testimony about the sordid deeds. It's not that a good liar could not fabricate such a lurid tale, but the probability will come down on her side being true simply because of the undeniable recording of him bragging about grabbing snatches.

Adultery isn't the crime in question, but it will shore up the true fact that the cover up was actually covering up hush money for a true story, not merely for damaging blackmail that was false.

But the reason for falsifying the payments in his business records, is to hide from the public on the eve of a national election, the information that he fucked and paid off a porn star. So it seems important to establish that he actually fucked a porn star as the motivation for falsifying the records.

Maybe the attempt is more to motivate the apathetic and disaffected, not blast away any Trump diehards.

Many voters will sit this one out on the presidential ticket, and getting even a fraction of them to go vote anyway will likely be the decider.

If the prosecution is but a ploy of the left, then it's likely a good one to outweigh the clamor by the right that inflation is supposedly racking those poor redneck families that are driving 12-mpg lifted trucks all day long to the Sonic drive-in, or to the gun show, or the lie that Biden is demented, or the ruse that somehow Putin's 2nd invasion or the Palestinian War is Biden's fault.

There is so much desperation in the air from both camps, it makes last call in a gay bar look good by comparison.
