First off, I think virtually all of the "it's not gay if--" things actually are jokes made up by straight guys, typically making fun of closeted gay guys or guys who think they are fooling everyone that they're straight or bi... or when just teasing male friends who are too attached at the hip. I think that any straight man who is of his own volition putting himself into sexual situations with other guys, and isn't in prison or restricted for an extended period of time to a monogender environment, then he is not straight.

If he willingly sucked you, without having to be coerced into it, I'd say he's bi. But it would depend on what exactly you meant by "a few times". Do you mean two or three (a number easily counted on the fingers of one hand), or did you mean something more than half a dozen but less than twenty (or some such like that) ? If you meant the former he could be straight and feeling it only fair that he reciprocate from time to time for having you service him. If you meant the latter, definitely bi if not actually gay, but in denial.
