  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Straight guys are funny

Do people still say "bums"? All I ever hear these days is "asses."

so why do u hang out in places that you could get knifed for being yourself?

For one -- I'm not giving up my fave beaches and swimming holes just because of rednecks. For another, my parents live in such a place, and since none of my other siblings seem to give a rip, I spend time there helping them with things they can't do any more.

Besides, geographically speaking, most of Oregon would be out of bounds if I restricted myself to "safe" places.
Generally, I prefer to pack my Ruger .357, in plain sight -- armed gays don't get bashed.

Lol it happened again the other day.

Some friends and i were watching TV and this Ad for better abbs came on.

One of my friends brought his friend over to hang with us and the friend said "I wish i had abs like that"

All of us looked at him and then he said

"Oh no homo"

We just laughed.

Just found this on youtube :rotflmao:

straight sports fans speak of having "man crushes" on players which it is straight and ok - I have a baseball board and it cracks me up when the posters start posting how they love this stud, or, 'So&so is such a stud, I got a man crush on him, we should get him'

I do think I heard, on last week's show, the sometimes almost homophobic Bill Maher use the term man crush in a non sports context

From what I've read, "no homo" is coming from a rapper or RnB singer and found its way into everyday language.

The other day i gave one of the Fratmen a T-shirt from one of our sponsors.

I then gave a different one from the same sponsor to another Fratman, and the first guy said, "I like that one better.... this one's really gay".

Within two seconds I had back-handed him.

He looked at me with a look of shock and I said "Now, I KNOW that you didn't just say that in my presence, so I'm sorry for hitting you for saying something different."

I haven't heard "No homo" yet.

But yes, This time you post something i can get behind... straight men are funny.

Soilwork, you're my fucking hero. I fucking worship you man!

Was ike the one with the long blond hair?

yeah I've heard the term "man crush" before and I don't understand it?

Its simply being hot for another guy in straight world. As in a straight guy saying "if we signed ARod, I''d cream my pants, I got such a man crush on him." Man crushes allow one to deny their homo erotic attractions.

ya know what? i've never actually heard that phrase from any guys i know, but alot of the chick from around here say it all the time. the phrase itself don't really bother me it's just fuckin annoying as hell. especially when they're sayin it just to say it.

another term used by women for two straight guys who are really close friends, especially when the friendship is new: bromance

Is it me? or straight guys are obsessed with blame themselves to be gay? My straight "friends" (who don't know that I'm gay) make jokes about homosexuality and blame themselves (in joking way) to be gay. :S
I also noticed that some people spend their time with their friends blaming others of being gay.

If a Canadian says "No Homo", this means he does not want milk.

:rotflmao:. I can just imagine breakfeasts all around Canada now.

"Would you like some more Homo on your cereal Johnny?"

alot of strait african american brothers use that term that i have run across. I dont think they mean as much harm as it's overall effect causes.

I agree. I think they say it for shit's and giggles. There is no 'deep' meaning behind it. It is what it is.

I have friends who say it and there is no hidden agenda behind it. It's for fun only, not because they're trapped in some dark closet and refuse to open the door and see the 'light'.

I think it's simply a slang term that somehow became popularized and is used without any real thought or meaning behind it.
