I have a question: as a straight guy who’s VERY curious about being with men, I’m dipping my toes into the world of cruising. As a result, I’ve learned about bathhouses and discovered I live close to a couple, so naturally, I wanna go to one. But I don’t wanna go in blind - I wanna know what to expect. So my question is this: WHAT happens in a bathhouse, what’s expected of you, what’s the etiquette, are they discreet, etc.

to add a question: how do you handle running into someone you might know? Especially if you are not out?
 
As gay man finally made my first visit to baths over 10 years nervous at first but met a guy who gave tour and how react. Been back on number of times. Go and enjoy.
 
It's a good thing you're in Toronto, where the gay bathhouses are good. If you were here in NYC, I'd tell you not to do it here at all and take a trip to Chicago or Houston or Montreal instead.

It's easy ... just use your body language . If you come across somebody who knows just smile , but be evasive at the same time ( if that's what you feel like doing ) try not engaging into conversations in areas where the rooms are crowded ...
