I don't feel everyone can be categorized as straight, gay or bisexual.
There are probably "gray areas". Particularly with men (or women) who are just by nature very sexual beings.

The term "heterosexual" can also be an adjective.

If you are attracted to the same sex or have sex with persons of the same sex, then you are not straight. Simple as that.

Those taboos go out the window in prison. There's a Sopranos (HBO Mafia drama) where Tony talks about the fact that Vito is gay. He makes a reference to homosexuality in prison and says something like "but that's different" from Vito's gayness.

What's also different is this== a man resorting to fooling with another man in the absence of women as opposed to a gay man resorting to fooling with women in the absence of men.

However, there are men outside of prison who use this rationalization to have sex with other men when there are no women in close contact or when they are in a dry spell. So, how is that different?

A straight guy can experiment with men. They're still straight by the dictionary definition because they still are having sex with women, still attracted to women.

What about the early teen years? Most straight guys do most of their homo experimenting then. Something like 70% of the male population has some type of homosexual experience in their lives. Are we going to not call them "straight" because of this?

I want scientific proof that your orientation can shift from one to another. I also don't think whatever attraction you had at once can go away like that.

I understand what you're saying, but I'd say 50% of the male population is bisexual. In this world, regardless of how many men a guy has been attracted to, slept or experimented with, if he's not out, he'll always consider himself straight.

I think we're oversimplifying things a bit though. I don't think it makes them gay either really, but I've actually been locked up before. And not every man has sex in prison either btw just about 30% of the population.

So do they just have a high sex drive and are being deprived of pussy? No... Straight guys have sex with girls all the time regardless if weather he is attracted to her or not for the simple fact that he wants some form of pleasure that isn't done by his own hand. I don't know. I think many of us have seen enough varying degrees of sexuality and behavior to know that life isn't so black and white. I always think of the Kinsey Scale for reference. Here's an interesting critique and further explanation of that scale.
