While we're generalising, I might as well add my perhaps poorly informed 2 cents.

Straight porn is rarely hot for me because it doesn't seem like sex. It focuses on the woman only so it might as well just be her. It's even worse when you get closeups of her staring into the camera. Takes all the sexuality out of it and just makes it a performance. If a girl is being fucked and then suddenly looks into the camera and bites her lip, she could just be faking the whole thing. While they probably do overreact in gay porn you don't get it as extreme as that. Maybe if I liked women it would do the job.

But I don't watch a lot of straight porn, so what do I know.

To me there is a lot more variety and options in straight porn. Gay porn is very limited and as someone else stated more often tends to be poorly made and over produced to the point of absurdity a lot of the time.
