The forum guidelines are clear in what is allowed, as indicated by the first thread listed in this forum "Video Piracy - Updated JUB Policy"

This was incorporated into the Code of Conduct :

#23. JustUsBoys encourages its users to share and discuss like-minded interests, but we also appreciate the creative works of those in our industry, and we will not be a party to infringing on their intellectual property rights. Only one single link is allowed per username per thread to downloadable video files. While freely available 'teaser' style clips and Rockettube/XTube type links are generally OK, lengthy video clips are not. If the video file is from a commercial production, then no other links can occur in the same thread from the same video production. Additionally, threads can not cross-link to other threads sharing videos from the same production.

#20. Do not share, ask to share, or link to Bit Torrent files or other pirated videos. It is not OK under any circumstance to share videos from any membership site that normally requires a fee to view the videos. This is expressly prohibited and repeated violations will result in your account being permanently closed.

Please post within the guidelines set out in the CoC in future.

A teaser clip should be only a few minutes long and no longer than about 5 minutes. This is your bench mark for all vid links you submit and I shall remove those that stray above this mark.

How can a 20 minute video which is hosted on Xtube, and does NOT affect your site, violate your policy? The forum sticky has been there longer than the thread itself, yet those that posted the links to long vids ignored it. The Code of Conduct appears to the bottom left of each and every forum posting here. If in your time here you've never been acquainted with it, it is a perfectly good time to have a look now.

If the thread is cleaned up to remove the posts that contain links to long vids, or if I removed the links themselves, then it would be a dustbowl of a thread and wouldn't be worth returning.


It is perfectly reasonable to create a new thread which sticks to the rules.

Now that I have gotten your attention, do note that any transgression of the rules will be dealt with via the infraction system. These are notes in your profile that Moderators and you can see. They tell you what you've done wrong, in the hope you won't do it again. For repeated offenders, linking to lengthy videos will be seen as wanting to share pirated materials, which is against the rules of the Code of Conduct. You may find your posting priviledges suspended or your account terminated.

What the issue we have here is that these are copyrighted works that the porn industry sees as being distributed illegally in sites across the web for free thus depriving them of revenue. In order to regain the loss, the porn industry is asserting their rights via litigation or the threat of litigation.

Please read the JUB Terms of Use. Within that document it says ulitmately, what you post on the JUB forums, and via any of its other services, such as comments etc, is considered as your own responsibility.

It is no accident that it is in legalise - by signing up to post on the forums you agreed to it, and subject to its terms and conditions as well as to observe the Code of Conduct and forum policies and advice from the moderators.

If it came to litigation, and they wanted JUB to divulge information which would lead to any of our members being liable to prosecution over filesharing, then how many here would raise their hand and take on the deep pockets of the Porn industry? Remember the music industry's prosecution of file share downloaders? How many of you have deep pockets too?

When you don't follow the guidelines, we have to step in and moderate the discussion to keep within the guidelines. It was within the framework of the CoC that I removed the thread. Our actions as moderators are as much to protect the integrity of JUB and keeping it open for all user as to prevent users abusing our facilities to link to pirated materials and leave them open to reach of prosecution from litigious interest.

Now folks, since you've made your views about the discussion heard, create a new thread but post within the posting guidelines.
