It isn't the site which is the problem, it is the length of the video linked to. The CoC is clear, teaser clips only, and not lengthy videos. This is why.

So would you like to explain these different opinions by two separate JUB Admins? One says the length of the video doesn't matter as long as it's not pirated videos, and then the other says teaser clips only, doesn't matter what kind of video it is, whether it's free or not. So why don't you two get on the same wavelength, communicate to each other and come up with the real reason on why the thread was deleted. Because I'd really like to know, as people have stated already that all of the videos in that thread were from xtube-like sites, though some may have been lengthy.

And while we're on the topic, what is the definition of a teaser type clip? What is the maximum length of a video we can post then? Teaser clip is a tad vague when it comes to length, so define it.


Edit: Quoted from the CoC, number 23: "While freely available 'teaser' style clips and Rockettube/XTube type links are generally OK, lengthy video clips are not." As there is no definition to the word lengthy, how can you enforce this? Everyone's definition will vary. To one person, 20 minutes might be lengthy, to another it might not. Some clarification would be nice.

No we kinda say the same. The only problem here is that people have a different definition of "free". People here say "it's on piracytube.com, it's free" it is free for you to watch, but it was stolen from a membership site. This is not free, and you may not post those at all. But many studios also upload teasers to some tube websites. Mainly rockettube, xtube. Those are short clips that at some point usually invite you to come to their real website.

The ultimate decision is in our hands .. I just wrote above what a teaser usually looks like. As a rule of thumb .. if it's longer than five minutes it's probably not a teaser. An entire scene from a porno is not a teaser either.

As for the admin folk. The link leads to a vid that lasts 2 minutes, and basically is a teaser or clip if you want. It's not a whole scene.

What I don't understand is what difference does it make how long the video is? It's not on JUB's servers and the videos on these tube sites are all legal and legit.

What's complete crap is I can go into numerous other threads and find links to videos which are way longer than 5 minutes. The reasons being given are complete crap and it just sucks so many people put so much work and effort into that last thread. It was the best thread ever.

Yeah, I'd like to know exactly how does linking to a site, such as xvideos, somehow affect their site at all. Sounds like some bitter old queen with issues if you ask me since the links in no way can affect their servers and any movie on an external porn site isn't breaking any kind of law.
