Have you ever put your full name in a Google search to see what it found in the world?

The straight me that came up was a gym bro from San Diego who took trips to Italy with his best buddies, was in the Marines, liked fishing on a boat, had a gorgeous brunette wife, and a 14-year-old daughter who looks just like her mom. He even looks like me.

This me is gay, and the life I had was one of sufferings and discrimination that other me never knew. But you know what? That other me is not THIS me, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I have a fight in me, I KNOW he doesn't have. He never had to prove himself a man; I did. Being a gay man who never denied or hid who I was, I went through a furnace of life that never tested the metal in him like it did me. I can say, honestly, that I lived "To thine own heart be true" in this existence. I'd like to look at the other me in the eyes and ask him if he could say the same?

On top of it? I have a genuine Jesus in my heart; I had to FIGHT to have, an empathy for "the other" he couldn't touch, and I'm married to someone I don't need to take vacations to Italy from.

If I put in my full name, all that comes up are obituaries. If I skip my middle name, then I am a baseball player. None of which seem to be true, but then again it could be the "Sixth Sense"

Only those on my father's side would come up. My American name is a title. Everyone on my father's side has the title. My father would be the closest match.

Google brings up a number of people with my name. There's a one trick pony author, an obscure and now deceased musician, a wannabe politician who'll never get elected and various ordinary people running ordinary small businesses of one sort of another. There are also the usual phone number and voters list listings, but I was ex-directory when I had a landline and elect not to be included in the published version of the voters list. I don't use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin or anything similar and never have. The important thing is that a Google search doesn't bring up anything at all relating to me and that's exactly the way I like it.

Musk has stolen all the SS data, Palantir and the US govt have everyone in the US (and Outside) on surveillance, people use Google, Ancestry.com and myriad other sites.

There is no private data now. Just data that hasn't been out there.

Not Google, but once read a text about a guy who was also named Harke and also had my last name. He was my age, gay and was a nurse. I'm not a nurse, but otherwise it was like reading about myself. I know I have at least one gay relative (with my exact name), but he's an accountant and much older.
