Stranger Slaps Screaming Child In Georgia Wal-Mart

^ Agreed, honey. It just shows that people are willing to say whatever they want without any evidence or indication of their claim.

At first I thought it was sexism but now I think it's just pure stupidity. People have made all sorts of claims about the woman's parenting based on one incident. If this is true, nearly every parent in America is a bad parent because LOTS of TWO YEAR OLDS cry in public, their teeth are coming in, they're learning how to respond and having to adapt to new phsyical, environmental and psychological changes.

It's not as easy as removing the child, she'd never get her shopping done if she had to leave the store every time some sensitive, whiny jackass decides hearing a baby cry heralds the apocalypse.

Lord, if the guy was young and really hot too they'd REALLY be railing against the mom for disturbing his fragile sensibility.

I wonder when someone's going to say he was racist
for slapping a black child?

Do you think he would have slapped the child
if it had been white?

Seriously, some of the posts in this thread just give me a headache. And of course, trying to make the empathize doesn't work because most of them will never have children. Lost cause I guess.

It seems that some Jubbers have no experience around children. Limited information has been used to justify generalizations about almost anything on this case.

Two-year olds are supposed to cry at home and in public places. It's true that some parent have limited parental skills but some adults are intolerant and unable to deal with children. I wonder if misopedia (hatred of children) and misogyny are additional factors to consider in a few opinions on this case.

Discipline and parenting skills are developed through training and experience. Slapping a child is not the best strategy. What about children with developmental problems or emotional issues?

Some gay men have experienced bullying while growing up and at the same time have no problem justifying abuse against children.

The definition of any person who physically or verbally attacks someone who is smaller than they are is a "bully".

Wait a minute, he slapped a black child like that and he's still alive to tell the tale?! I need to find that mother and revoke her negro card for letting that one slip past. [-X
lol that's what i was thinking when I found out.

Pwned.

Also, "Only in Georgia."

I have to say I think that man hit the wrong person. Since the child is only 2 I think it's a bit risky to hit a kid that young.

He should have said, "Bitch if you don't shut that kid up I'll slap some sense into you."

But than I mean the guy really couldn't win.

The problem is parents aren't parents anymore. They either adopt for no reason or it's an accident baby or they just don't know how to be good parents. Also parents don't seem to make time for their kids or really even raise their kids. And than later in life it's up for the kid to raise themselves and learn what they have missed out on or should have learned..

*grumble*

But the woman should have realized that she needs to quiet the kid. Either that or said, "I apologize but I am still learning how to do so. We won't be here much longer."

Oh what am I thinking. This is the day and age when people fight or complain over accidently bumping into someone.

I feel sorry that the girl got slapped like that though. But I still say it's the mother's fault.

No. Only in Wal-Mart. ..|

I swear whenever I hear about horror stories like this one, Wally World is usually always the setting. So can we all just agree and say both the mother and the old child-smacking scumbag are to blame for shopping in that hellhole they're disguising as a store anyway. :)

Oh yes. Let's not forget the woman who got trampled to death because of the PS3 launch.

Yeah I forgot it's always wal-mart.

And with millions all over the country. There's drama, crime, abuse, and corruption just a few miles away from everyone's home :D

And yes they should know better than to shop at wal-mart. Those wal-mart commercials are annoying anyways.

I do think that people are way to "protective" about children though. But slapping is a bit far.

I still think restaurants should ban little kids. Or at least have some resturaunts be 18+.

I suppose that's what bars are for.

I know, I am taking your response out of context, but I really have to ask. Why is it the mothers fault?
What about the father?
So the father wasn't there, so he gets a pass?

And if the father was there, I would bet my life savings, that, that stranger wouldn't have hit that kid.

Can't really say the father gets a pass too. It's just easier to blame who was there. Simple as that. It's also unclear if the woman really cared what the guy said, ignored him, or told him to fuck off.

You know. Not all fathers are the dominaint, masculine, straight acting type that kick ass that they are made out to be. Some are just plain average guys who aren't freakishly strong, have muscles, or have a "I must kick everyone's ass or make people fear me by being in their presence attitude."

And again. Sometimes the most dominant and masculine looking guys are the biggest queens. Also not everyone resorts to violence. But than again..bad example with that last one.

My point was, that, I think that if wasn't a woman, then the stranger wouldn't have slapped the child. I really think that a man alone with his child wouldn't have experienced what that the woman did.

I also think (not you) but previous posters don't take into consideration my posted point and that what really irritates me, is that previous posters think it was ok to slap that child and that it was somehow the mothers fault.

They obviously have never been around children before or they are just have their head up so far up their ass, that they can't see the anything but the darkness.

I don't think that's quite true. But I do agree that it would happen less if a women was around instead of a man. But it can happen with a man too. Err...father.

People like to start shit.

Yeah it wasn't really okay to slap the child. Well mostly because of the child being so young. I think the real cause was misunderstanding and miscommunication.

It was really the slapping again and again that was out of lines.

The problem really is though these 6-8 year olds or babies that are in airplanes or resturaunts, cry, complain, throw tantrums, and just piss people of to know ends.

And than when a kid cries and it's actually a good reason to cry all people are going to remember is the spoiled brat who cries becuse they don't get their way and the mom gives in or the irresponsible parents who don't take care of their kids and let them raise hell and make a mess makes it seem like that "ANY KID" who screams or cries is becuase of an irresponsible parent or that the kids is being a brat and needs to be punished.

But that isn't always the case. This is what bad parenting (especially in public) is doing.

It's negative thinking that is just causing madness. I know some people who won't even eat in a resturaunt if a baby is crying because they've heard it so much at other places they are just done with it.

LOL Joshua_Me.

I've been meaning to see that movie. I need to watch it on instant play.

I do think that the man slapping the child was taking it a little bit too far. If he wanted to do something because the mother wasn't doing anything about it, he should have just spanked the child on the bottom, instead.

Sexual harassment makes sexual harassment panda sad.

A 65 year old man touching a female 2 year old's ass.

Oh the public would love it..

I agree. It's tough being a parent under any circumstances. My parents never tolerated any "acting out" by me or my siblings. We were removed from the situation, and occasionally with a firm swat on the bottom. I can speak for all of us, that it made us better and respectful children. We never thought it to be extreme, it didn't hurt at all. The act of being disciplined, made us respect our parents. There's too many parents these days, that feel that a child should be able to "express" themselves no matter what. Bulls*it! Children need discipline, and it needs to come from the parents! Not strangers in Wal Mart!

Unless he has mental deficiencies, the old bastard needed to have his ass kicked for touching someone else's kid.

And anyone who seriously advocates for violence to be used against children in such a way isn't far from deserving the same thing.
