I GOT SOMETHIN TO SAY!!!!!!(jerri use to bust into a room sayin that)I love this show!!! I watched it when it first started and than bought the dvds. Nothing makes me laugh harder. But last night I finally got my hands on the movie and I can't explain how disappointed I was!! How could the same people who wrote that show have written that movie?! I still love Jerri blank but that movie could have rocked!! Anyone else see it? what the hell happened?! :confused:

I loved that TV show. It was awesome.

But yeah... the movie was crap. I expected alot more.

Amy Sedaris as Jerri Blank has to be one of the most perfect and inspired casting decisions in modern television history.

Do you know if I can find the DVD's of the television show in stores anyplace? I've looked everywhere and can't find it anyplace... even the entertainment superstores don't seem to have it.

I have all 3 seasons on DVD too.

The tv series was better but the movie will grow on you if you watch it a couple more times. It's still JERRI after all! I was disappointed they couldn't get the original Derek though.

And no Orlando!
 
I have all three seasons too. I also had to buy a new dvd player to play them because they weren't coded for Australia.

I also agree the movie was a let down.

I've been a fan since episode 1 aired. Amy, Paul, and Stephen are comedy gods. Me and 2 of my firends went to go see the movie when it was showing and the entire theatre (about 12 people) laughed from the opening shot until the closing one. It was a little different from the show but still hilarious. The only thing that threw me was the fake 'Orlando' character....wasn't into that.
 
I loved catching this show when I was deliriously tired at night. So funny :)

I only recently discovered this show. I was at my Campus Store and saw the trapper keeper of the complete series and bought it on a whim. I was not disappointed!

Best line in the whole series:
Mr Jelineck: "If whishes and buts were clusters of nuts we'd all have a bowl of granola."
 
I love SWC esp. the first season. I met Amy at one of her cook book signings and she was hilarious. I liked the movie, too. For some reason I feel like the movie will become one of those movies always shown on stations like TNT or TBS in a decade. Hopefully that will lead people to the show.
 
One of my fave episodes was the one where they did "A Raisin In the Sun" for the school play.

When Sean Puff-whatever Coombs announced at the Golden Globes that his big movie break was going to be in a film adaptation of "A Raisin In the Sun", all I could think of was Jerri's voice saying those words... and cracked up laughing.

Gotta love Jerri.

I have to watch that episode again.
