Street Fighter X Tekken

Man i can't wait. This collection of characters reminds of how i felt when i found out solid snake and sonic were gonna be in SuperSmashBrosBrawl lol

You'd think this was a sporting event at the amount of noise the audience was making. LOL

At first, I was skeptical. Now that I've seen a video of it, it doesn't look half bad.

I admit, I'm ambivalent. While it looks like the combining of Tekken and Street Fighter is going to be smooth, I think I'm just sick of all the crossover ideas now. So far, there has been:

X-Men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel Superheroes vs. Street Fighter
Marvel vs. Capcom
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Marvel vs. Capcom 3
SNK vs. Street Fighter/SVC Chaos
Capcom vs. SNK
Capcom vs. SNK 2
Mortal Kombat vs. DC

Eh, I'll see how I feel when the game finally arrives.

I actually love those games, granted most of those games listed are more button mashing than the original licensed motifs by themselves. I love when games crossover (except for mario and sonic olympics lol)( haven't played it but it seems too silly for me)

I don't mind them releasing Vs games as along as they keep the orignals coming also.

^^^It's not that I hate or dislike those games. I love those games, but it just seems to be overdone now. You do know that Namco is making a Tekken vs. Street Fighter game, right? So, there is going to be Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken vs. Street Fighter.

Yep, I read about both in the same article. I am actually anticipating it. Its like what Capcom did with Snk a few years back. They both released Vs games, one for each company.

I know what you mean though. It can get tiring overtime. I particularly haven't really liked where the Tekken franchise has been going; each iteration becoming more and more flashy and arcade-ier.

Oh really? Now that should be really interesting.
But anyway, I understand what you mean about the VS serious, the concept is getting a little long in the tooth. Unless they plan on making a Capcom vs Namco Bandai game then this should probably be the last one of it's kind. I can't think of anything else they could have a vs game with aside from Mortal Kombat and I have my doubts about that becoming a good game.

I never played Mortal Kombat vs. DC, but I did not hear too many great things about it from friends, especially concerning the fatalities. As far as other games are concerned, the Marvel vs. Capcom series, which includes Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and X-Men vs. Street Fighter, has or had original system mechanics. On the other hand, Tekken X Street Fighter, for example is Super Street Fighter 4 with Tekken characters, if that makes any sense.

I think the worst of any of the crossover games was probably Capcom vs. SNK though. It's as if they could not decide which era of Street Fighter characters they wanted in the game, so they picked some from every era. It's like "Hey, let's throw in Ryu from Street Fighter 3 and Dhalsim from Street Fighter Alpha and hope the consumers won't notice!"

Hey! Watch yourself! I might've been in that crowd. In fact, I plan to go to Comic Con next year. And I ain't no geek. (Well, maybe I'm 2.98613531% geek, but that's negligible.)

Besides, there was at least 1 badass @ CC this year. Didn't somebody get shanked in the face?
