Stuck in a Black Hole.

>>>Thanks so much for the help, when I get there, I will buy you a drink.

You'll still have 2000 miles to go to get to me when you make it to New York. :D

Hmm. Dance is a very tough career choice. The competition is fierce. The demands of producers are very tough. Are you good enough to succeed - you need to be brutally honest with yourself in assessing how good you are. (You may be amazing for all I know) Have a look at shows like Britain's Got Talent at some of the people who seem to genuinely believe that they are talented enough to be professional entertainers when the reality is obviously very different.

Secondly, going to America on a tourist visa and just staying is a really bad idea. If youoget caught overstaying your visa you will likely be deported and banned from returning for many years (if not for life - they have been really harsh on visa violations, especially since 911). If you really do want to go to America, look into doing it legally - getting a green card or educational/working visa of some kind. A further concern in going to America would be health insurance. If you get hurt while dancing here it won't bankrupt you to get treatment. It might do in America.

Would it work if I just went on a holiday Visa to the US, then decided that I wnated to stay their permantly, people have already said that they would let me stay with them, and help me find work?

You never want to be an illegal status in the US. Coming here on a student or tourist visa and then staying over when your visa ends will pretty much end any chance you have of becoming a legal resident.

You cannot work in the US legally unless you have a work visa. The standard work visa lasts only 6 years and then you must leave. If you want to come here, get a plan and come here legally.

It is possible to get a student visa to attend dance school. If you are talented, there are special visas available to artists and performers. But, again- all of this takes money and a plan.

Ah, Thanks for all your advice. Could someone help me with a plan then?

I have always wanted to live in the States, ever since I was young, and live my life the way I should. I have to much heartache, and fake friends here I want to leave it all behind and start a fresh.

Sounds like you want to forget your pass and start a fresh in another country.
It might work if you have someone in the US to help you.

Could someone help me with a plan then?

No.

This is something you'll have to think through and be responsible for as an adult.

Once you have a plan, be sure to post it and we'll give you feedback.

I have the feeling that you just want all of this to happen without you having to do the legwork or thinking.

It isn't going to happen if that is the case.

Ok. Plan. Work full time, Get enough cash, get a Visa for a tourist, and fly to New York. =]
