My boyfriend and I were leaving for a week to spend time on the Texas Gulf Coast.
We'd been planning it for weeks, and I was hoping to leave early.
Of course he was running a little late from work, and we didn't get on the road anywhere near the time that I wanted to leave, and I was a complete ass all the way down to our campsite in the dunes.
We arrived at sunrise, and decided to stop at a beach side diner on our way to our campsite, and it was then that I realized that I had left all our camping gear, my clothes, and our food for the week on the front porch of our house...8+ hours away.
The look on his face when I realized my error though was priceless. I think that he realized at that point that I was the one who arrived on the "short bus" instead of him.
I spent the rest of our vacation making sure that my boyfriend had a good time.
Oh my, this one is the saddest

I was pretty grouchy about having left late, and when I returned back into the diner and told him that I had left everything back on the porch back home, he didn't know whether to expect an outburst of anger from me, or to laugh his ass off.
He made it a point of finding a Walmart in the nearest city so that I could at least get a pair of beach shoes, and some shorts to wear while we were there.
We didn't have much of a problem sleeping in the rental car, and we did end up having a really great time.
