Ok, so for a while now, I've been going to the gym. I think it has been over a month and a half. I got weighed yesterday and from starting point til now, I've gained 2 and a half pounds. Good thing is that my body fat percentage and overall body mass have not increased (just slightly on the body mass) but this indicates that I have built muscle and that is why I weigh more. So anyways, I have been working on following the work outs and push it to use more weight and do more reps every week, so it felt good to think that it has paid off, even when I havent' lost any actual weight, I feel great and like the way I look. So, here's a little pic of how the workout has paid off.

I got a new routine started yesterday morning, with different exercises and higher weight for each of them. Now it will get more serious and my trainer said that now that I can seriously do some weight, this workout will help me start burning a lot of weight off me. :-)
Now, on other stuff. School started this month, I had to quit my job and I hated having to do that, I wanted to keep it, but it wasn't possible with my school schedule and homework load. So, I had to search for something to earn a few bucks while in school, and I got workstudy hours with a linguist who is making a dictionary of creole english from the costarican caribean coast (!) It rocks, and I am getting a chance to put what I've learned of english phonetics and translation to practice.
On the topic of men. I have been staying away from them. Last year was enough for me withe being tricked and getting my heart broken, so for the last 4-5 months I had been avoiding them succesfully, or so I thought. Friday night, I was working out and had to use a pulley to do elbow flex and elbow stretches, but there was this short, muscular guy who is almost always at the gym when I go, using one of them (they are double) he was using the right one with an awful lot of weight to pull forward and work on his middle abs. So as I get closer, I think I might get in the way so I just asked him if I could use the left pulley or if he'd like me to wait. He said it was ok, that as long as he didn't get in the way with me, he wouldn't mind. So I just went along and started my sets, then during one of his rests, I finished my set and asked what the exercise he was doing was for (he told me that it was for his middle abs like I mentioned before) and then I said something like: "I do way lighter stuff then that. That exercise you're doing looks tougher than anything I do, but then again, you look great. " he blushed and smiled, looked away and then replied, "Well, I always see you working hard, so you'll probably end up doing it yourself soon. And you look good too." Then I blushed and smiled, as he got down to his knees and started pulling the pulley forward as he bent to flex his abs. I finished my sets a little after he did, but I had a few exercises reamaining. By the time when I got to the lockers, I took off my shirt (which I don't usually do unless I know I'm totally alone, due to my shyness) and as I was drying up I felt eyes on my back, then I see him walk out and wave at me. !oops! he saw me! And he was smiling on his way out... that got butterflies in my tummy and now I keep thinking about him.
I was thinking about taking up Pilates or something else to stretch and get flexibility, which I can take at the gym with the memnbership I have now, and I'm thinking of going tomorrow, but it might be because I know he's there every monday evening... God, there goes the 4 months of staying away from guys! And I don't even know what to say if I see him or what... I need a shrink :confused:
