I am subscribed to a lot of threads, but I have gotten NO email notifications - OF ANY KIND - from JUB since November 1.

Am putting this thread here because in the [h=2]Site Help, Feedback & Bug Reports[/h]


Forum it is languishing, unheeded and unseen, with apparently not even any effort at correcting the problem.

Does anybody even know there are no emails being received? DOES THIS ALSO AFFECT OTHER ASPECTS OF JUB, SUCH AS PRIVATE MESSAGES?

I hope putting it here at least helps make the problem known to more than five or six total people, though I've reported two of my own posts in hopes of making Admin aware. This has seemed to accomplish nothing at all.
 
^ Post reported...in hopes that someday, somehow, I (and others) can finally get attention or word from somebody in here.

I have now found out ALSO that I am not being notified of Private Messages. That makes this even worse.
 
I too have been having this problem, and i agree with you frankfrank placing the original post in the "proper" forum did not seem to get the attention it needed.
 
I did not know we could get such notifications. Then again, I'm 2 bricks shy of a load anyway.
 
^ Yes. there's an option to get DAILY emails notifying of activity in any/all threads you subscribe to. It's a marvelous thing...but only when it actually is working, of course.

I'm even more upset to find out that I'm not getting any Private Message notifications either. I just wrote a friendly email to somebody in here, and he replied, but I only noticed it because I now had "7" notifications (next to my username) instead of 6.
 
AFAIK, the system is maintained by the JUB staff, rather than the board admin here. Threads which appear in the feedback part of the forum are seen by the staff, since our former owner, Bryce has mentioned this on occasions, so posting there any queries about this should let them know. But, since the forum's changes a while back, things might still be broken, in that system addons that dealt with specific things no longer worked on the new version of the updated bulletin board software. However, I'm no more clued up on that than most of you folks....
 
Thanks star-warrior (and it's sure good to see you returning and I hope all is OK!!); of course I only found your post by checking MANUALLY as I am now 20 days out with absolutely NO JUB EMAILS OF ANY KIND. Nobody from JUB has contacted me in any way, either, so I don't get any clue that anybody even cares much about keeping the Forums in good repair. It's discouraging seeing something falling apart and nothing but apathy from those who could do something.

This is one of the most "precious" places on the internet, but the user experience is being downgraded in a big way.
 
I'm also one of those that really miss the daily / weekly digest of what is going on in my subscribed forums and topics. I have also posted in the above mentioned Site Help, Feedback, and Bug Reports forum. I also posted a message in the Ask A Moderator / Admin section several days ago and did not get a reply.

Looks like somebody fixed something...I sure hope...and I wasn't being told that I was getting Private Messages, either.

I hope that is fixed, though it looks like it may have fatally harmed the JUB Christmas Card exchange this year.

They're back... sort of. I found five notifications this morning when from the posts I made yesterday there should have been eighteen. I'm not getting any from CE & P and only some from elsewhere.

edit: also, no notifications of PMs.
