Subway

The only thing I get there is a turkey w/ provolone cheese, lettuce, extra tomato, pickles, mustard, oil and vinegar, and pepper on flat bread

Subway has the worst subs ever. They probably spend 50 cents wholesale on a $5 sub. Sadly there are no good sub shops where I live. Whenever I go back to the northeast I make it a point to go to my favorite sub shop that puts 3/4 of an inch of rare roast beef on a half sub (plus cheese) which is as big as a 12 inch Subway for less than $5. To make matters worse the closest shop near me uses stale bread. Plus the ghetto trash that works there complain out loud about not getting tips.

I don't eat fast food.

Oh yeah? Would this change your mind about footlong Subway?

I've only ever bought a sandwich from Subway once and it was utterly revolting. Never again.

The Italian BMT (Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and Black Forest Ham) or the cold cut combo (turkey-based meats - ham, salami and bologna) with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, mayonnaise and mustard on whole-wheat bread.

I'm a BMT Man as well....All I get is the meats, mixture of Swiss and Provolone, Extra lettuce, Salt, Pepper, Oregano and that's it...

None of the other Wet toppings crap....

The Philly Cheese is "Blah"....The steak tastes sooooo cheap...

There's a Sub-Joint that's been here for a min called "Firehouse"...I wanna try them but I always forget about them...

I wouldn't know.. we don't have subway in my country :(

On the occasion that I eat there, I usually always 100% of the time get a 12 inch turkey breast on wheat, loaded with veggies and sprinkled with black pepper. I can't stand mayo or other fatty dressings/condiments.

Have only eaten there once... buffalo chicken whatever thingie.

It was just okay.

My fav, not available in all Subway regions, is their juicy hot pastrami footlong.

But...not everyone is familiar with pastrami. For one thing ... it must be toasted and "hot". For another, the only toppings that should be allowed with hot pastrami are cheese and mustard, never any "vegetables", and (oy gevalt) never mayonnaise.

(....licking fingers) :p

let them know about that pastrami. once you fuck with pastrami, you'll never go back to eating ham, turkey or any of that other shit again.

pastrami, swizz cheese, lettuce, sweet peppers, onions, and oil/vingear on 5 dollar footlong. the problem is is that it's 8 dollars with tax. subway ripping people off for a decent hungry man's meal.

When I had the chicken... it was really dry... sawdust almost.

:rotflmao: sounds like you had tasty lunch to me.

I just get whatever the $5 footlong special is.
Sometimes it's good (chicken bacon ranch, buffalo or teriyaki chicken).
Sometimes it's lousy (just about anything else).
I like the broccoli soup, and for $2 that is a good deal.
The one I go to has a honey-sweetened green tea that is yummy. And all you can drink is a bonus.
And the raspberry white chocolate Otis Spunkmeyer cookies are a great way to end the lunch.
And the people at the Subway near me are really nice to me and make the sandwich carefully and it looks and tastes good.
So I'll be the contrarian in this thread and stick up for them. It's not gourmet food, but what do you expect for $5 these days? It's a lot healthier than a hamburger-and-fries fast food joint.

Pastrami is gross. I'm sorry to say that. It's really fatty. I had it once and will never touch it again.

it's not for everyone i guess. i can't fuck with salami or turkey cold cuts. they taste horrible.

My favorite subway sandwich is to drive past and stop at Jimmy Johns Gourmet Subs...

Although before my favorite was roast turkey with cucumber, pickles, light lettuce, ranch and salt n peppa on wheat

>>>You gotta be shittin me. For sure onion but MAYBE cheese?

It's weird. I get a lot of grief for not being a fan of hot/spicy foods much, but people seem to think I'm some sort of alien for really liking onions. :)
