Huge William S. Burroughs fan here. "Junky", "Cities of the Red Night" are both worth checking out for anyone that enjoys something different to read.

Also I've been reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris and they are excellent! If you don't know, the HBO series "True Blood" is based off of those novels.

I would also suggest the Vlad Taltos novels by Steven Brust if you want to go for fantasy.... however there is set to be 19 novels in the series and he only just released book 13.

But the books are fantastic. Currently he has the first 9 in 3 omnibus editions while the last 4 are still available in print.

Well, it's actually hard to recommend, judging by the numbers of good books out there.
Do you adhere to specific genres?

Perhaps for a more common theme, Jeffrey Eugenides' works will be satisfactory (The Virgin Suicides, Middlesex).

Love Can Build A Bridge by Naomi Judd.
Just read that one. But if you're going to read Naomi's book, you have to also read Wynonna's and Ashley's books. And watch their reality series. Only then will you truly understood this mesmerizing and f*cked up family...

Some others I thought of:

Past Imperfect by Joan Collins
The Picture Of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
Oh honey you and I have got to talk. We've obviously read all the same celebrity autobiographies (my absolute favorite books to read).
