So she is scratched and bitten by her own dogs while attacking another dog in its own yard, yea she is so much the victim here.

A Texas woman whose four pit bulls entered her neighbors' yard through a hole in the fence and killed their 10-year-old beagle is suing them for $1 million.

Emerald White says in her lawsuit filed this week in Galveston County district court that she was "seriously injured" on Oct. 27 trying to stop the attack and retrieve her dogs. She says she suffered "multiple serious bite and scratch-type injuries" and accuses her neighbors of failing to securely confine and restrict their dog, Bailey.

I'll be very surprised if this even makes it to trial. The attack occurred on the neighbour's property and she is as responsible to making sure that her dogs are contained as the neighbours are, no matter who owns the fence.

I see cases quite often on People's Court and Judge Judy where either the victims or their dogs or cats are attacked by someone's dog (pitbulls over 90% of the time) and counter-sue for harassment (the victims trying to collect) or for pain and suffering because their dog was put down. So many people refuse to take responsibility for their dogs.

Get this, woman runs over three teens, killing one, is suing them and their families for over a million dollars for emotional distress. The fact that she was possibly drunk and on the phone with her cop husband, who was following her home from the bar (to make sure her car got home), and who facilitated her departure from the accident scene before emergency crews arrived, is now, after much public out cry, is under independant police investigation.

There was this one time on The People's Court where a rottweiler actually attacked a pitbull and nearly killed the pitbull. Of course the owner of the pitbull sued the owner of the rottweiler and they settle it on The People's Court. The owner of the rottweiler attempted to counter-sue the owner of the pit and tried to say that it was the 13 year old girl's (who owned the pit) fault for walking the dog near her house because "she should have known that my dog was territorial and escapes a lot."

Needless to say Judge Milian (love her btw) absolutely flipped her shit. She tore the owner of the rottie a new asshole over the fact that she tried to place blame on the pit owner's daughter when she knew damn well that she should have been more responsible and made sure that her rottweiler was contained properly.

In the end, the owner of the rottweiler had to pay for BOTH dog's vet bills and compensation for the plaintiff's pain and suffering for almost losing their dog, which all came up to a pretty healthy five figures.

I know there are a lot of politically correct liberals here who rally to war cry that it's not the pit bull breed but the owners, and that the there is nothing wrong with the breed. I present to you some honest-to-god stats on this.

Don't get me wrong. I don't blame the dogs. I blame the original breeders of the breed. These animals were bred to be aggressive fighting dogs. It's genetics.

My brother in law recently hatched an egg of a pheasant. He treats that bird like his own child. He's been raising it since it came out of the egg shell. And yet, it still runs away from him. I once asked him why does it run away from him, and he said you can't domesticate a wild animal over night. It's genetics.

I'm a dog lover. I have 2 beagles and a chihuahua. So, don't accuse me of having an irrational fear. I'm sure there are pitbulls out there that are just adorable animals. But the breed as a whole is too aggressive for people.

I say we let the breed die. Neuter them all and outlaw breeding them commercially.

The numbers couldn't possibly have to do with them being the main use for dog fighting, which is also a huge problem. Considering a lot of people get their Pitbulls from rescues, because Pet Stores don't carry them because of the stigma. So where do you think a lot of these Pitbulls come from when they come from Rescue Centers? More than likely dogs who were in dog fighting or just in general trained to be a guard dog of some sort.

Neutering them is just a band-aid and wouldn't solve the problem. The human race already endangers so many other species, so I guess why not do it to another right?
