Sad and ironic... The woman that made 'Santa Baby' a smash hit dies on Christmas... :(

Eartha Kitt's career spanned 6 decades! Stage, screen, music, and literary diva of all she set out to rule -for most of us, we will always remember her as the PURRRR-FECT catwoman.

Rest in peace my dear lady.

Wow, she was blacklisted in the 60's for speaking out against the Vietnam war.
 
Ertha Kitt - RIP

Sultry singer Ertha Kitt has died at the age of 81. She was professionally banned from the United States during the height of the Vietnam War by speaking out against the war at a White House luncheon given by President Johnson's wife. She later came back as Catwoman in the Batman TV series. One of her best known songs was "I Want to be Evil." (Don't we all.)

I have been a fan of hers for decades. I love her voice and have a lot of her music. I hope she is at peace.
 
I am shocked when i hear that she died, i saw her on a rerun of a tv show from the 90s. I love it when she Purr, it give me goosebump. May she rest in peace
 
Oh you kids !! Well - some of you youngsters are just that - and her hey-day was a while ago - but she was a true star -- and succeed in a world and a time when blacks were hussled in and out of the kitchen door of the very clubs where they performed... She has left a beautiful mark on the Music world... God Bless..
