I know I'll be getting this one for sure... but I have some mixed feelings... I figured that Mario Galaxy would be a "one time thing"... you know, Mario had to go to space that one time but thats it.... I mean noone really would like to see Mario Sunshine 2 right?

Then again, I know that the whole Galaxy concept was more of an excuse for creativity rather than actual storyline purposes... so I guess in that way it's alright.

But yeah I'm happy to see Yoshi :D I love me some Yoshi and it's good to see him back.

I can't wait to play this, loved the first one (the only game I've played to completion on the Wii).

Just picked it up today. Didn't get too into it. It pretty much feels the same as the last one with a few extra power ups and Yoshi (a great addition). It doesn't look like the change much, but it's like way re-invent the wheel?

So is it worth buying? Cause I was really hoping this game would bring my Wii back to life because its been collecting the most dust.

I would say so, especially if you like platformers. If you like the first one, then you'll like this one. It's definately worth playing, if not buying it.

I am planning on it, but then Mod Nation Racers comes out tomorrow and so I'm debating on what to buy its really really difficult for me.

Well I decided to skip Mod Nation Racers and wait to buy it in Portland, Oregon because sales tax in California is like anal rape.

But I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2, can't wait to play it right now. Hopefully it looks decent in 420p.

I got the game yesterday, it has been a lot of fun so far. My boyfriend and I both noticed that it is kinda the same plot line/concept. Then we decided that it is always the same concept: Bowser/Koopa steals princess, mario defeats the bad guy and gets the girl back...so we stopped caring.

Although you are still collecting star bits and traveling from galaxy to galaxy, there seems to be a lot of different power ups so far and also yoshi. Theres a cool one where you create clouds to jump on, and another where you turn into a stone ball that rolls through objects.

This game has a LOT going on most of the time, lots of controllers and buttons it seems like, but there is more and more creativity around every turn. There also seems like there is a LOT more for player 2 to do also, they can kill most enemies, collect coins from any location, bring power ups to mario from most locations, and collect star bits.

Definitely recommended!

To sum of what I think about this game (compared to the first):

The first Super Mario Galaxy set the bar really, really high. The sequel may be slighty above that, but it's basically giving you more of what you love without getting old.

I only played one level so far and I like it.

It just looks bright and happy and colorful and fun...

In short, everything I look for in a video game. (I'm still having nightmares from Bioshock 2  )

I've been hooked on Mario since the 64 days....

i've played it a lot the past couple days and i love it...
it really is just an improved version of the 1st.

I can't wait to get this. I love Mario and the first Galaxy game was brilliant. I'm forcing myself to wait til my exams are finished though. If i get it now, i'll never get any revision done! Hopefully it's worth the wait.

I got this game on launch and still haven't beat it!! :)

It's fantastic though...it continues the first game's tradition and has a bunch of cool new stuff added to it. If you liked the first game, you're guaranteed to like this one.

And, it is, indeed much harder than the previous one. Really fun & challenging.

The music is amazing too...the orchestra did a brilliant job with the music.

I am soooo excited about this game! It won't be released in Australia until 1 July but I can't get it until two weeks later cos I am so busy!!

I don't need any distractions!!

LOOKS AWESOME.

Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!!
