Definitely one of the most anticipated games for Wii this year, Smash is expected to take everything we loved about Melee and take it even further.
Some of you might know that the official Smash website have been posting DAILY updates on the game since some weeks ago. Here is what we know so far about the game.
Confirmed veterans: Mario, Link, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Samus, Zelda, Bowser.
Confirmed newcomers: Pit, Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Snake, and Metaknight

Confirmed Stages: Delfino Plaza, Battlefield, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi's Island.
Confirmed items: Gooey Bomb, Cracker Launcher, Crates, Barrels, Banana Peel, Pokéballs, Assist Trophies.
Assist Trophies: Assit Trophies are trophies that will summon a random Nintendo character that will attack your oponnents. So yeah, it's pretty much like Pokéballs with other characters. Characters confirmed so far are Samurai Goro, Nintendog, Hammer Bro.
Confirmed control methods: There's a total of four control methods in the game: Wiimote, Wiimote+nunchuck, GC controller and Classic Controller. When you enter your name (name entry screen) you 'attach' a control method to it.
Gameplay changes:
You can now move while shooting.
All characters can perform a devastating "Final Smash" move by grabbing a Smash Ball item. So far three of them have been revealed. Bowser transforms into Giga Bowser, Mario shoots his "Mario Finale" (2nd pic) and Link attacks with a "Triforce Slash" like seen on the original Brawl trailer.
