3 big first party games are coming in the last quarter of the year. Maybe not in september, but why is that important? Wii is already doing great as it is right now.
You are right on the 3rd party devs thing though. Though I would say that since noone really saw the Wii's success coming, it is now that everybody is working on games for it from scratch. And u know making a game for the hardcore from scratch takes time. So for the moment they just started to port old stuff to make some quick money. But we should start seeing the real good stuff at some point soon.

Besides the release date, Donkey Kong was confirmed as a playable character. Not like anyone was not expecting so. Also the Bumper makes a return to Brawl. The Bumper was an item in the original Smash but was replaced by the Flipper in Melee. Now the Bumper is back for Brawl, but like the Flipper it is possible to set it in mid-air as well as on the ground.

Smashville! Yup yup, it's based on Animal Crossing
And aparently whatever is happening on it is affected by your Wii's internal clock, much like the actual game it's based on.

Deoxys is in the game! But...
...just as a Pokémon from the Pokéball item.
You know how Samus, in the original trailer, shoots a gigantic laser which breaks her suit and turns into Zero Suit Samus? Well... that's EXACTLY what happens in the game! The big laser is her Final Smash move.
Aparently you can be a bitch about it by grabbing the broken suit pieces and throwing them at people. lol.

Instresting, but I wonder if you can change back into Suit Samus? Does Zero Samus have her own smash move? I hope it's like the Zelda/Sheik transformation. Just something to think on.

Im not sure how they would make that work. I mean if the suit breaks, it breaks. No?
And I supposed ZSS can't do a final smash, you can only do one of those per match.

I hope that you can hold down A in the stage selection screen and change into ZSS, like Zelda/Sheik, because I would like to play as ZSS, not Samus. She seems quite a bit like sheik from what I've saw in vids and she has a whip!

Here are all the stages so far:
Battlefield. Rather basic.
Delfino Plaza. Based on Mario Sunshine.
This is one of those moving stages. You fly around the island on a platform or something.
Yoshi's Island. Based on the game of the same name.
The artistic style is brilliant. The stage changes cosmetically with the 4 seasons. There's also support ghosts and shy guys doing their thing ocassionally.
Lylat Cruise. Inspired by Starfox.
This stage is beautiful! Can't wait to play on it.

Jungle Falls. Based on Damien Kyle's Jungle Beat.
This is one of those scrolling stages also. It scrolls up, like Icicle Mountain on Melee. Aparently though, there's something at the top...
