I agree with the Gay Brawl group or whatever you all want to call it. We should probably get all the friend code exchanges out the way now so we don't have to worry about it when we get the game Sunday.

I'll post mine: 6212 1649 1108 3448. I will add any and everyone that lists their code once I get my Wii home on Friday.

For those who don't know EB/Gamestop are having Brawl tournaments along with there midnight launches. Here is the pdf that contains all the stores that are participating; Participating EB/Gamestops

It seems that the rules may differ from store to store, so you might want to call to find out extra info. (ie: controller types, stock/time, whether you have to have a pre-order or not)

I signed up just for fun. It'll be cool to hang out with other smash players in the area, and pick up my game at midnight.

Anyone getting the dreaded Disk Read Errors that seem to be so prevalent with the game? I have yet to get my copy but when I do I'm hoping it works...

My wii internet isn't really working with smash bros. I have to wait forever for people to join, I don't know what's going on but hopefully it'll figure itself out. The game works fine though!
 
The game is amazing, me and a friend have been playing all day, unlocked most of the characters, only a few to go. So much fun!
 
don't take this the wrong way, but why was SSBB so anticipated? I got it Sat. night, i really like it (I just unlocked Snake and Sonic, very cool), but Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy were better and Mario kart Wii should be better. I just don't get it. The online seems like it will add a lot, but to me it seems more like just a very very deep party game (i do love the party games though). I just dont see why so many people thought it wold be better, think it's better than Zelda or Mario

i was thinking about going, though i got there a little late and they must have started at 10:30 or 11:30 of something i got there at 12:10. My college lost in bball right before it so i was kinda bummed out, not in a rush to go out

lol incidentally, the guy who won it at the gamestop i went to didnt even have a wii, memo to Nintendo, make more f'n' Wiis!
 
Me and my friend noticed this, on the box art for brawl, look at mario's left hand. doesnt it look samus' thigh look like a drumstick and mario is holding it. Weird i know, but hey, i won't get my wii back from repair in like 2 weeks, so i gotta do something to pass the time. We should set up a seperate thread where everyone posts their smash bros. friend code. just an idea.
 
Not a bad game at all. I love the music and the one player mode. All in all, a fine addition to the trilogy.
 
I was one of the crazies to brave the blizzard and go to the midnight launch anyway. Was pretty cool. Surprised to see so many people there. The game is awesome but something about it doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Who are the favourite characters so far?

I just bought it. The controls are going to take some getting used to, but it's really great so far. 5 out of 5 in my book. I live in such a small town that I waited a week to get it and there were still about 5 left on the shelf. Yay!
