Superficiality among the gays...

it's a product of tension and release. compared to most of the heterosexual world, our lives are supersaturated with meaning. occasionally we have to relax, and, whammo - the "slinky of meaning" recoils into vacUous drivel.

the question is, why is so much attention given to our extremes of superficiality, and so little given to the comparitively extreme depths of our spirits?
