SURPRISE! Birthers announce birth Certficate a fake.

World 'Nut' Daily www.wnd.com the official news outlet for all your Birther quackery is saying first that the Birth Certificate 'really' doesn't matter since the issue is, according to them, that 'Natural Born Citizen' means both your parents have to be citizens. (And for their racist fringe I assume white as well).

BUT Even though they say it doesn't matter, they then proceed to also claim the certificate is fake and have tossed out a whole new set of questions for their brain dead readers to shout at people without having to bother with the inconvenience of thinking:

The doctor who signed the document – "conveniently unavailable to answer questions" since he died several years ago.

The date of acceptance on the document, four days after the birth on Aug. 4.

What about a "mysterious number" seen on the right side of the document.

The apparent spelling of the local registrar's name as "Ukulele."

The mysterious X marks above "Twin" and "Triplet" on the document.

Where are the birth weight, length and footprint images often found on original birth certificates?

Why the certificate is out of sequence with other birth certificates from the same hospital at the same time.

What was the impact on the Hawaii birth certificate when he moved to Indonesia as a child and reportedly was adopted by an Indonesia man.

On what nation's passport did he travel to Kenya as a student.

Who gave Obama scholarships to attend Occidental, Columbia and Harvard.

What about other still-withheld documentation such as his passport records, kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, University of Chicago articles, Illinois State Bar Association records, Illinois State Senate records and schedules, medical records, Obama/Dunham marriage license, Obama/Dunham divorce documents, Soetoro/Dunham marriage license and adoption records.

What about his use of a Connecticut-based Social Security number when he had no connection to the state?

Was "African" really used to identify race?

Incidentally a lot of these questions have already been answered not that they pay any attention to that.

Of course this really comes as no surprise to anyone though I do have to admit the trick with the Adobe editor was cute. I wonder how many hours of work he put into faking that up? Its amazing how clever some folks can be when their brain dead.

Actually the bit with Adobe is pretty slick. Either somebody worked all night with photoshop to do that or the PDF file of the certificate is computer generated and not a photocopy. I suspect its generated by the records system from a digital image of the original document, Hawaii scanned all these documents into the computers years ago. That would explain why its on the same background paper as the current copies are being printed on. Photocopying being so 20th century and all hehe.

Well damn it, why did they do this? I'm finding multiple reports now about the multiple layers on the document so its too much to hope its just one Birther with photoshop. I don't have a copy of Illustrator or Pro but it is clear looking at the document posted on the White House site that there is at least two layers. Worse the multiple layers include the signature lines. IT IS BEYOND DOUBT at this point the PDF file the White House released IS COMPUTER GENERATED and not just a photocopy. At least two of the signatures are separate layers from the main text.

I suspect this was an effort to clean up and make nice what a direct photocopy of that document would look like but for the purposes of providing proof, either the folks who produced it are very stupid or they wanted to feed hydrogen into the Birther fire. Sheesh.

Good info, that at least explains the layering but it is still a stupid oversight. Records offices should know better than to scan an official document as anything other than a flat image. Adding the background image alone would have raised questions. Instead of quenching the Birther fire it has fueled it.

Correct but if you are scanning a document for evidence purposes, you want to scan it as a flat image not an editable document. By running it through an OCR, they 'changed' the image thus you have an edited copy not an original copy. In short the process they used resulted in a document that can be changed or altered.

I would suspect that this alone would bring the document into question if it were being presented as evidence without some additional affidavit of authenticity. Now the printed version of the document has that signature line saying it is "a true copy or abstract" of the original document so if the office of record backs that up it would probably pass a court's muster.

The pdf is made to show proof of a long form, so everyone can see it at large. The two certified copies are the only admissible evidence. If you read the comments, those who know what they are talking about state how the Adobe format works, which I guess the administration chose because they presume it is common enough to provide the best reproduction.

Agreed though even the certified copies are 'abstract' recreations superimposed on that green background but as long as they have a seal and signature that would be good for legal purposes. I wonder if they try again and produce an actual photocopy instead? Those would look something like this
