Survivor 22: Redemption Island

I loved every minute of Russell during each season he was on. He's more responsible for me becoming a true fan of the show than anybody. Was entertaining as hell to watch him bulldoze his way through the other castaways. Proved himself the most worthy opponent yet for anyone looking to claim dominion over the game if you ask me.

Makes it even more incredible that he accomplished the feat TWICE in row.

I'd insist on playing against him if I were ever on the show. Who'd be more fun to outwit than Russell? He's basically undefeated, hasn't really been beaten yet.

And the fact that he was voted Favorite player both times, shows I'm not the only person he impressed.

Whoever masterminds his demise will be deemed a great player imo. Anyone aching to prove their worth in this game should be dying to face him head-on.

Bumping this up for tonight's premiere!

All I can really hope for at this point is that the first episode isn't 45 minutes of Rob, Russell and their fan clubs (aka the other 16 people) talking about how great Rob and Russell are.

I didn't know they recruited parents of past contestants. Cause Phil seems like he would be Na'Onaka's Father. What a joke he is.

I do not have a fav or a most hated one other than R & R.
 
I don't like the ometepe tribe.

Zapatera seems intersting on the other hand.

Phillip offered one of the best or worst TC ever... ;)


I can't wait to see how the Stephanie/russell alliance goes on ...
 
If I were Christina I would go to Rob and offer my immunity idol for the guarantee that Phillip would go before her. Please Phillip annoys the holy he'll outta me, can you say overstrategizing?
 
I hope Phillip stays until the merge just so he can "interact" with Russell.
 
I got so annoyed with all those Sprint 'what if' moments with Jeff. What if you stuck R & R straight up your pompous ass and never let them see the light of day again. That is a 'what if' I could live with.
 
Yeah the what if moments was just plain dumb. And Jeff seemed super annoying tonight for some reason. Especially during the challenge, he was acting like a pissed parent at a soccer game.
 
If they plan on doing those stupid, pointless Sprint "What If Moments" during every commercial break all season long, then my DVR is going to get quite the work out.

Aside from Russell's return as a regular contestant, again, I think this could be a good season. Unless he manages to make it to the final three again, lose again, then complain yet again how the rules of the game need to change to fit his play style. Then this season could be hard to stomach.

Matt the Jesus freak is this season's major eye candy.
 
Matt has some ass and looks great going and then when he is coming at you it just gets better, B U T I don't know if I can take all that Jesus stuff in a game that is about as Jesus like as the devil.
 
I loved the "Russell brings the nice girl and turns her into a villainess" line. Natalie White: Evil Queen, y'all! :lol:

Up there in the delusional scale was the implication that Russell dragged Parvati to the end. It was more like the other way around.

Anyway the premiere wasn't as bad as I was expecting but so many people were invisible and it wasn't even due to the two returning guys. I could have done with less Fran, Kris and Philip (although they were all entertaining) in favor of introducing the five people who were totally absent from the premiere.
 
^ I noticed that too but it's only an hour show and they have to pack 40 minutes of Sprint commercials into it as well.

I suppose we'll get to see some of the other players later.
 
I was reading the Redemption Island wiki that there will be multiple times in the season where a person on Redemption Island will have the opportunity to return to game. So it's not just one person who gets booted off who can return, it can be several. This does not bode well for people like me who think that less Russell is good.

Also interesting that other countries' version of Survivor have already been doing the Redemption Island concept. The Israeli version was called Island of the Dead. Serbia's was Ghost Island. Other countries that did this are the Philippines and Sweden.
