Survivor 22: Redemption Island

I just think Rob was jealous there was one girl who was not wetting her panties for him and wanted to give her a chance without a guy who was way sexier and overall hotter than he was.

I'd take Rob over Matt any day. I don't like long hair and the Christian thing was a major turnoff.

I still think there's something with that Natalie girl

The second coming of Matt.

The Jesus people are happy.

Yeah! getting a deserving turn of the screw! Why does Jeff have to shuffle those votes every frigging time - does he think that makes it more engrossing? I guess maximum effect/suspense Whatever.

thstd veryy rude and not funny. dont make fun of disabled people

Not making fun of disabled people. Making fun of Jesus freaks, but I took it down since it's offending some of you.

I've gone on record in this thread for hating the Redemption Island twist and now I have the best reason to hate it: without the twist, Russell would be 100% gone and it would have been oh so satisfying.

Now I'm left rooting for Christian Boy to beat him.

I know, right. But who knows when someone will be allowed back in. Even if Russell does beat Matt, hopefully he'll lose to the next person and not be lucky enough to come back in. And if he does come back in, hopefully they'll just vote him out again.

It's sort of like Jesus vs the Devil and I hope Jesus wins and the Devil will be gone, baby, gone for good and for always. I loved Jeff admonishing the group " You have just just voted out one of the most successful players in Survivor history." As if they had done a very bad thing.

I don't get it, when does the person from redemption island get to come back? Is it at the merge and do they have to beat every person that comes in?

The producers will rig duel so that Russell wins it. So lame.

MY theory: it'll be random (the re-entry) based on when the producers think the season needs a jolt.

It's funny because that "success" has been to the detriment of most of the people who have aligned with him.

Ask Ashley, Liz, Betsy, and Marisa from Samoa if they felt any more "successful" because of Russell.

For me, that's the only strike against Russell: his social game is so weak that he doesn't recognize whom he has a better chance of beating in the final when he makes his alliances.

Who did you think Russell could beat?

In Samoa, he would have stood a hell of a better chance against Shambo and Jaison than Natalie and Mick. The fact that he cut Shambo loose at 6th was like THE symbolic moment of how unaware he is to social dynamics. He probably would have still lost to Jaison though, since the seven people who voted for Natalie were never going to vote for Russell.

In Heroes vs Villains, Russell's only chance was against Danielle and Candice, since the Heroes hated Candice for her betrayal and nobody liked Danielle either, but Parvati's hypnosnatch was controlling his mind so he failed to realize that, too.
