Survivor 23: South Pacific

This will be a boring show if all it does is wipe out the other tribe. I wish they could have swung the vote from someone else on the other tribe. Damn you Cochran!

Didn't Cochran have a boner this week when they showed him standing up after he had been sitting on the beach in his underware talking with that girl? Looked like it to me.
 
Well Cochran will go down as one of the dumbest and most useless contestants. He did come close to knocking Ozzy out in the challenge...but that is pretty much all he can claim.

I am not sad Edna is gone, but I want Brandon out. He is just so delusional and idiotic that I really think that he has lost his mind. Even his Dad thinks so.

The god complexes this season were laughable - Ben and Ozzy, and the players delusional - Coc & Brandon. Edna was annoying. I have come to know that whatever is discussed before tribal is not what is going to come about. There have been so few surprises this season. I would like to see Brandon make the final over Ben just to see how the vote would go. What is that man with the beard's name who has done just about nothing at all?

We are on the skates of finale both with Survivor and AR. I think AR was far more entertaining although I was sad to see the boarders lose over such a stupid thing, and unfairly since the other teams taxi drivers all communicated and took them to the right place when 2 of the teams would have gone where the boarders went.
 
I'm still watching but I am so ANNOYED that this season started out with so much potential with a great cast and rapidly devolved into a slightly better Redemption Island remake.

Like, did Albert and Sophie not see the last season where the returning player's alliance mates were all complacent and positive that nobody would vote for the returning player if they went to the end with him, only for the returning player to win 8-1-0? DO SOMETHING ALREADY OMG.

I do have some comfort in the preliminary S24 spoilers though. The most significant ones being that Redemption Island and the two returning players twists are GONE next season. Thank GOD. After sitting through two seasons in a row with them, I think they're killing this show more than even Russell Hantz did.
 
I can see wanting to take Brandon to Final Tribal since it will only help you win but having to put up with him and his antics got tired quite a while ago. I do hope those spoilers about the next season are true.
 
I am hoping that anyone wins except Benjamin, Oz or Brandon.

Yes another promising season sunk by the same old same old.

No, I am still very much a fan of the show. Just not a fan of this thread, where everyone bitches about how much they hate this show, yet they stay glued to it each week and return each season.
 
I don't see the big deal about not being thrilled with a particular season but still watching. Two bad/mediocre seasons in a row is hardly reason enough to stop watching when the cast changes twice per year anyway, and 2010 had two GOOD Survivor seasons in HvV and Nicaragua IMO.

I mean this season is still watchable and easily better than RI, but it's just not great right now, even though I enjoyed this season up until a couple of weeks ago. Like I said... currently it's like a remake of RI with better characters like Dawn and some more even editing. I think the combination having of two returning players/RI has produced a nearly identical end-game to S22's. RI as an gameplay element kind of encourages pagongings, which are BORING TV, and the new players of the tribe that survives are all crawling up their returning player's ass because they don't think he'll win and want to drag him to the end.
 
Did the promos for next week's episode show Edna actually beating Ozzy on Redemption?

Nothing wrong with that. But then there are some that have posted here during any or every season where all they do is bitch and whine because the show does not play out the way they wanted it to, or they bitch about how much they hate Probst. Yet, they kept tuning in each week and return every season only to do the same thing. Not exactly the type of "fans" I like discussing the show with. It's okay to criticize the show and players occasionally, that's part of the fun. But criticizing the show on a regular basis makes me wonder why these "fans" watch the show at all. They are such a drag. They just can't admit they still love the show and yet have the audacity to keep watching and posting here.

Spiff, to counter your complaint about complainers - like BB the best shows are always the ones you can bitch about, even complain and we all complain when things are not going the way we want them to go. So I see no problem with people complaining about the show and Probst - if we all accept drudge then drudge is all we'll get.

I enjoy the show for the most part but do get annoyed when it falls into the same patterns as it has too many times. I am not a returning player fan but hoped this would be different but we did get two god figures. And Probst is so full of himself that he sometimes makes the show aggravating. He does have favs most seasons, like Coach and Hantz, and clearly has people he doesn't like and shows it which is not good for a host.

And yet he's been the host for 23 seasons (technically 24), and the show's ratings have been good enough to go on for 23 seasons. So as far as hosts go, I would say he must be doing something right, to be on a show that outlives most any other show with a host. If you can't admit that he has been part of Survivor's winning formula all these years, then you obviously are in denial. He's always had favorites since Borneo. Pointless to keep obsessively complain about it each season. If he hasn't changed in 23 seasons, he never will. Time to get over it, don't you think?

Sure, you can call me a Probst dick-sucker like some of you already have in past seasons. I sometimes criticize him too, but at least I can admit that he is one thing that helped make the show successful.
 
Ha ha. I love it. Brandon will come off as one of the dumbest contestants in Survivor history. So much for redeeming the Hantz name...now let's just hope that Ozzy beats his ass.

Coach didn't look too happy when Oz beat Ed, knowing he might have to keep his word as a man of God.

I cheered when that sludge was voted out after such a miserable mistake - probably brought on by Benjamin calling him a bully.

And fuck me - Hantz father was such a Hantz jerk just like his brother and now his asswipe son.

At this point, after Albert looked like a jerk when confronted, I hope Oz does get back in and win this damn thing because he has the jury votes as of now.

even though brandons game was questional, you have to give it to the guy. i amlikeing him already.

I hope brandon comes back and wins immunity.
