Survivor 27: Blood vs. Water

Tina really voted for Tyson after pushing so hard to turn the alliance against Monica? :roll: Yeah, she should still thank her lucky stars that Jerri gave her that fourth vote in Australia to help create the "secret mastermind" rumors that Tina's diehards try to push.
 
So I take it you wanted Colby to win back then slip? He's certainly one of the least objectionable Probst faves.
 
Out of that final two, at that time, I wanted Tina to win because I wanted a woman to win and didn't like Colby's dominance. Now after knowing what a self-righteous shrew Tina is and how awesome one Jerri Manthey is, sure, Colby would have been better. Maybe.
 
Speaking of Probst and his predilection for "manly" men, I don't even know WHERE to begin parsing this for overall wrongness/snarky comebacks:

Now I wish Hayden and caleb make a move and pull ciera / Laura with them to blindside tyson and gervase then turn on the mom/daughter with monica and make the F3 iwith monica coz there's no way she can win... and i'd be happy !!!!
 
To me Hayden and Caleb really don't play to make big moves. Caleb's only move was opening his mouth when he thought he was next to be out. Hayden (?). I wish someone would for once go at the big fish and fry their asses on a spit. Obnoxious characters seem to always hold on without much trouble because everyone is afraid to move early.
 

These promos are so outrageous and exploitative and fake (especially the stock sound effect of a crowd gasping after "an entire bottle of vodka!") that you'd think TMZ made them. However, Sandra being an angel <3
 
With the equal balances of newbies and returnees, every such-themed Survivor thus far has seen a returnee win.

Perhaps Blood vs. Water will change that.

Caleb, Ciera, and Hayden appear to be thinkers (within reason). I believe Katie has more a thought process than what this series presents of her (thus far). So, I'd like to see a move made by Cirie to swing her mom Laura to their side with the effort to overtake the other returnees—Tyson, Gervase, and Monica. (Between Aras, Vytas, and Tina: It's hard to predict which one of them, if any, make it back in from Redemption Island.)
 
It's pretty safe to rule out Katie and Caleb at this point. Caleb hasn't even spoken in like four weeks which is totally unprecedented for any winner, much less a male one. It's like he served his purpose by leading the charge to get Brad out and then ceased existing. And Katie has been similarly underedited.

My thoughts too
 
So was this the episode Probst referred to in a pre-season interview when he said something happens on this season that he's never seen before (someone voting out their loved one)? Also please let Ciera get to the end and let them somehow respect her for doing what none of them could do. If only so smug Tyson won't win and all his posturing this season will go down like Russell Hantz' voice-overs.
 
Yes, the Ciera vote was the shocking thing that apparently made a cameraman cry or something. I kind of wish they didn't make it SO obvious that Laura M. was going this week though. They even put up press pictures early over at CBS that revealed both Aras being eliminated and Ciera voting for Laura. :roll: They truly don't give a shit anymore.
 
I hope there aren't any spoilers for the next season. I miss the glory days of Sgt. Pepper and I waiting with baited breath to see if Kim would actually make it to the end and win One World. And the satisfaction of correctly predicting Troyzen would NOT win. ;) Even Philippines was fun because it had a good cast, good editing and an incorrect winner spoiler. The last two seasons being unavoidably spoiled on every Survivor forum months in advance have kind of hindered the show for me.
 
Do we have any idea of at least what the cast is like? Will it be all new survivors (doubtful) or will there be old survivors returning?
 
It is an all newbie season from what I've heard. Other than that I know nothing about it and hope it stays that way.
 
Totally agree slip. Let's hope the next season is spoiler free (and not edited in such an OBVIOUS way) so we can enjoy the thrill when good surprises happen, instead of pretending to be surprised when they do.

On an unrelated note, who the fuck comes up with the Twitter hashtags for this show? I felt almost embarrassed to be a Survivor fan when #bigbadwolf flashed on the bottom of my screen last night. The only time a scene-specific hashtag worked for me was last year during one Lisa Whelchel's #survivorbreakdown and that was only because it was so bad it was funny.

I had the same thoughts !!
I kinda fell for ciera to vote her mom out. musta been hard but anyway I like where it's heading tyson out, ciera and vytas in finals yeaaaa
 
I loved the drama surrounding Ciera voting out her mom but it doesn't really make any sense to me. Laura would have gone anyway and people would have understood if Ciera voted for Katie instead. Tyson even GAVE her the option to pass on voting for Laura by splitting the votes so that the guys were voting for Laura. It even seems like what Ciera did could backfire on her because people could be paranoid after she was actually able to get up there and vote her own mother out.
 
At least she made a self saving vote even though Laura, though her explanations at the end came all the way around and didn't understand it. I think my 2 favorite players right now are Vytas and Ciera. I also like Katie, and can't believe how stupid Caleb sounded at tribal or how brain dead Hayden sounds every time he opens his trap.
