Yeah it was a great move by Aubry. She got those votes arranged in such a way that Tai was forced to kick out Scot or get Marcellas'd, since if Scot played the Super Idol, the nullified votes would have caused a 2-2 tie between Tai and Aubry and the girls would have tossed him out on the revote.

Well actually if Tai had voted for Aubry there would've been 3 votes for Scott and 3 votes for Aubry, and if they used the super idol to cancel the votes against Scott, then Aubry would've been eliminated. It actually didn't really make sense for Tai to flip UNLESS his sole goal was to keep his idol for himself to use later.

Aubry basically played on his emotions and exploited the fact that Tai was feeling dismissed in his alliance.

so theres no super idol no more
since Tai gave back the idol to Scott and Scott didnt play the idol in his elimination right?

The look on Scott's face was priceless.

Thank god Tai had the guts to do what he did. I didn't think he would go through with it.

Here's hoping the team can stay together to vote out Jason and Julia next.

Also how dumb is Scot? He's sitting there asking Tai for the idol when the 4 votes against him and only 2 votes against Aubrey meant Tai had OBVIOUSLY flipped.

When things like this happen, you can't help but think karma is real & it will bite you on the ass if it needs to.
I'm glad Scott is gone. Now to get rid of Jason then I don't care who wins as long as it wasn't those two.

I also liked the way they split the reward challenge up into three different competitions. Hopefully they won't nix the auction because of this, as Survivor auctions were traditionally pretty entertaining to watch until hyper-strategic gamebots looking for gameplay advantages sucked all of the fun out of it in more recent seasons. (Another reason to praise Trish Hegarty.)

Right, and even if he's dumb enough to think Tai voted with him, he's even dumber to think Tai would basically auto-eliminate himself to let Scot play the Super Idol. At least when Marcellas did it, it ended up saving Queen Amy for another day, so it was basically cosmic justice.

I was equally happy to see Scott go and go with his tail between his legs. Jason next I hope I hope I hope. Good Play and a Good tribal. Scott's face when Tai said no and if he had said yes he would have been gone. Julia urging Tai to play his idol but he held fast. That Scott had 4 votes against him it was a no brainer that Tai had voted for him. Besides Scott was given the idol before vote so he could have played it for himself but his droopy ass left with it.

I agree! :) I would love to those two get the boot.

Jason has finally been slain?

Also, Michele is totally winning this, right? Meh. I'm all for another woman in the winner's circle, but I'd much rather see Aubry or Cyd win.

I'd much rather see Aubry or Cydney too (why are you so sure it's Michele?) but honestly now that Jason is gone, I'd be fine with ANY of these people winning (well OK Tai not so much but at least he's gay & Asian). I'm just rooting for an all girl F3 now but I'm afraid one of them will fall because who doesn't want Joe the goat in there?

Hmm actually I'm hearing rumblings that this is going to be a F2 this season. Are you hearing that too slip? Even if it means Aubry and Cydney getting eliminated, I really wish they'd revert permanently to a F2.

Michelle is the only player left with a very good social game.

I would not be surprised if this is a Final 02 with Michelle winning over either Aubrey or Cydney.

Michele's got like the textbook female winner edit of a low-vis pre-merge that gradually picks up airtime toward the end-game, and she feels so inconsequential to the overall story of the season but they're always finding ways to jam her into the narrative (being shown as the main narrator for the "Beauty girls alliance" that never actually mattered because they never went to tribal until the swap, her two episode storyline with Nick, the show highlighting her voting off Julia as a strategic move), which always raises a red flag unless the winner actually turns out to be a Kim Spradlin or a Boston Rob type who dominates the game.

Cydney's edit isn't consistent. Like, tonight one of her storylines was being pissed off with Joe because she doesn't like being controlled, and she even referenced it happening on the Brawn tribe, but it wasn't really shown to us at all because she was edited as just another member of the Scot-Jason-Cyd trio until the merge. That kind of lack of crafted storytelling is something they don't usually do with winners. Similarly, they've almost always sterilized female winners for some reason and so I'd have hard time buying Aubry winning with them showing us her episode one social anxiety meltdown and her bitching about Neal not giving her his idol as he's being yanked out of the game.

I really hope it will be a F2 (there were no spoilers this season beyond Caleb being a confirmed medevac, so I don't know if it will be). Since next week seems to be just another episode (it wasn't hyped a finale), we're probably looking at a four-person finale. Whether it's a Cagayan with a surprise F2 or just a China/Philippines that drags one boot for the entire finale, who knows?

I hope for F3
one from brawn beauty and brain
Cyd, Michelle, and Aubry

I would be happy if anyone of these girls win

Now that Jason is gone, halleleujah, anyone of the remaining can win and I won't be too bothered. I despised Jason and Scott (Tai too when he buddied up with them.

First it was Caleb, then Alicia, one was medevacced and the other eliminated BEFORE the merge, (AND IN THE SAME EPISODE HOW DARE THEY?!) and now it's Tai, but how it's going so far.

Bottom line #JanVanEssFavoritesNeverWinEver
