This is my first time watching Survivor..from the previews the season sounds like it's going to be good..Are most of the challenges like the one shown tonight? What happens if one tribe completely fades, or does that happen?

Most of the challenges are like tonites....

They merge toward the middle... I don't think a tribe can fade.​

Those two asian guys are hot: Brad(gay guy) and Yul(Jin's twin from LOST, LOL) . So are the two white guys, Adam and JP. Ozzy's adorable.

I think the teams are either gonna get mixed or merge on Ep. 3.

Anyway, about tonight's episode, I thought it was stupid of those two black guys to just seperate from the women and make the decision themselves in regards to sending that other guy to exile. And then when they got back to camp, they stayed seperated while the women got to talk. They shouldn't have left the women alone together.

Anyway, since that other white guy got sent to exile, I'm scared the ladies will jump on Adam, now that he's there alone for 2(?) with the ladies. I couldn't believe that girl was already thinking about a showmance 20 mins into the premiere.

I don't know what's up with the skin tone on his face being so different than the one on his face. It's not conclusive he's gay since there are straight bartenders working in gay bars, but he may just bat for our team.

Based on his Favorites on the CBS website, his favorite shows include Queer Eye, Will & Grace, and Project Runway. He also likes Madonna and Mariah and attended FIDM. Need I say more?:badgrin:

There's a definite ample supply of eye candy this season. It should be good.
 
JP and Brad are SO HOT! This is looking like a good season, I'm guessing they'll merge into two before the final merge... I wonder how long that'll be (if that's the case)...
 
I don't know. No one person left any big impressions on me. I don't really like or dislike anyone yet but one thing I did bother me was that they were in tribes of 5... meaning unable to have equal number of guys and girls. It's not really fair to the minority sex in the tribe. They're screwed from the get go, especially the girls.
 
But the AA tribe did eliminate their weakest link, why do these morons take so many breaks and be so obvious about it - have they learned nothing from last seasons.

I swore I wouldn't watch this again, but some of the eye candy (Yul, Brad, JP,Ozzy) sucked me in!:-) Wish there'd been equal camera time for all four teams, but I guess there wasn't enough drama to go around. Past seasons have proven that the fatter a player is to begin with, the better they tend to fare once food scarcity becomes an issue, so the seemingly out of shape folks shouldn't be counted out. I recall Osten who was in GREAT shape who quit once the going got tough, while his less-built teammates carried on for weeks. One thing I noticed, though, was that the losing team was pretty foolish to send the guy who 'stole' the chickens to Exile Island. Have they never seen Survivor before? You send the strongest player from the WINNING team off alone. They deserve to lose for that alone.

Yes, some stereotypes have a basis in reality. Otherwise, they wouldn't exist. It's when these stereotypes are applied to ALL people in a group that we make the mistake.

As they said, it's a social experiment. Well, we have hundreds of years of racism, stereotypes, and segregation to look at. Do we really need an "experiment" in 2006? Only time will tell.

There's a rumor right now that JP [minor SPOILER][STRIKE]had a "showmance' on the show with a girl[/STRIKE][SPOILER ends]. Now, I heard, he is dating Brad. The gay Asian guy.
 
Nate has a hot body and Ozzy is cute. I might watch just for them, and it appears Nate is a sagger in those shirts.
 
whatever, im not pc. im rooting for the asians just cause im asian. even though im not much of an asian pride boy. i never ever wanted to watch survivor until now because of this racial concept. it makes good tv in my opinion. i totally miss the new episode. there has only been one episode so far right?
 
I just have a quick question: Why is there a "race" of Latinos..... when there is no such thing as the "Latino" race, but merely the "ethnicity" of Latino?

I'm sorry, but that just REALLLLLLY bugs me.
 
Ozzy and JP are such idiots and neither deserves to win. By throwing that challenge they put the entire latino at risk. Now they're going to be in a minority post merge dumbest thing ever.
 
Billy had me right up until the tribal council and I suspect he also had the two ladies' vote...but repeating loudly over and over that he was just playing a game and pulling some odd romance angle seemed too odd for me and I suspect everyone else....It also didnt hurt that he did nothing, VEGAS
 
That Tribal Council was awesome! JP is shortshighted, I agree, but he was just listening to that lunkhead Ozzy. In light of what happened, I am going to miss BIlly--HE would have made for more great television. I haven't seen Probst that agast before and I think the others were just as suprised or maybe they had heard him speak of that before and were shocked he spoke up about it, either way he looked ridiculous. I hate to be superficial, but we need to keep that UberHunk of a Man, JP, on the show. He is seriously a cutie, and his facial expressions in the Tribal Council were pretty....um, fabulous? Hope that doesn't offend anyone, I know the gays don't like to be told they seem gay, but -well, he does-especially in slow motion. That beard is coming in nicely and he is very expressive-those nostril flares made something in my balls tingle.
