Survivor - Fans vs. Favorites

Even though I don't like any of the fans yet (Eddie is obviously hot but his Mean Girls shtick turned me off faster than Phillip's saggy pink underwear), their dynamic is way more interesting in terms of Michael and Matt being in the middle of two alliances: The Cool Kids and the Three Girls. If they side with the Cool Kids, they're outnumbered 4-2 when things dwindle. If they side with the Three Girls, they're outnumbered 3-2 when things dwindle. The best option then would be to side with the Three Girls and vote out the two girls on The Cool Kids, and then switch and go with Eddie and Reynold for a four person alliance to take out the Three Girls.

Of course with all the tribe swapping and stuff that is sure to come, none of this really matters.

OK straight people, one more time. Here's how it goes for us. We always assume that every hot guy is gay...but we'd actually want him more if he was straight. Got that? Good.

Yeah I thought that was a very elaborate set for a challenge. I wonder if they will use it for future challenges, and change it up a little.

Sad to see Francesa go. I wish that Phillip went but can see the producers stepping in because he brings something talkative to the show.

We didn't get to see Malcolm very much. Not really liking his alliance right now. Poor Cochrane. I thought that the show gives out sun screen.
 
I got chills with Cochran's sunburn because sunburns like that are horrible. I thought Eddie was attractive as well as J. Malcolm is his usually untalkative self and looks great. Too bad the show blocks the ass shots. I hate Phillip so much, Brenda, too and Brandon - oh god what a shit pile. Anytime there is someone who intimidates other like Phillip did, and like the Hnatzs love to do makes me hate them more. I was so glad the fans won the first immunity and I am so sad Francesca went first instead of Andrea or Phillip. How can anyone trust Andrea when she is such a tattle tale.

Yeah I was expecting great things from that constructed challenge and it was such a simple task for all.

I fucking love Brenda! I'm hoping she takes it all the way to the end, and showing us all how bad ass she is on the way there. I'm a little scared for her though as she seems have found herself in the minority alliance.

i think there might have been some pre season alliances because i just cant buy that everyone wanted to go with phillip rather than francesca. but thats just the conspirathy theorist in me. looks like brandon is gonna freak out and be sent home second, i dont understand why he cant just act calm and go with the flow he might actually get places.
 
Phillip's pink underwear makes me nauseated. :( It's so gross looking.
 
Anyone notice that in the immunity challenge Jeff called the Favorites the Heros? Guess he got mixed up between Fans vs. Favorites and Heros vs. Villains.

Also Brenda FTW

I agree, but considering they have men and women of different age and sizes competing, they try to make the challenges as physically and mentally balanced as possible (though I don't feel as if they balance them out properly). A puzzle works well in delaying a confused person attempting it, just like how a physical task prevents a weak person from completing it with ease.

There have been very few challenges where being skinny/underweight or physically weak works as an advantage. The majority of their challenges are biased towards being physically fit & athletic.
 
There are multiple challenges involving balance every season and those always favor women who are smaller and have lower centers of gravity. Actually, it was a balancing challenge at Redemption Island that Andrea beat like four guys to return to the game.
 
^But the ratio of such challenges which favor being light weight to those that favoring being physically strong isn't 1:1
 
I can't root for Malcolm after his douchiness at the end of last season so it's all about Brenda for me this year.
 
I can't root for Brenda because I hated her in her season and her alliance in that season. It is Malcolm for me..
