Survivor: Fiji

So... after the first episodes, I got a few favourites and dislikes already...

I'm digging Yau Man's mentality for the game. He's my early favourite, but like he said, he's not going to win it all because that would just about drop everybody's jaw. Who else liked that him and Boo spelled out their names to each other? Cute.

Speaking of Boo... he is a looker and he'll most likely be praised throughout this season on this forum from folks for it, but it appears he's a bit of a klutz according to the previews of the next episode. Let's hope he doesn't hurt himself too bad because it seems like he's going to be the one who can actually say something to Dreamz (with a Z!) when he goes all yelling again.

This is just an early take of things, but something doesn't seem right with Rocky.. Boston.. James... or whatever his name is. He made a reference to Sly Stallone and yeah, he sure acts, talks and walks like Rocky Bolboa.

As for the ladies, the only standouts were Sylvia and Erica. I can tell Erica can go far in this game, she's feisty and strongwilled but not to the point when it gets irritating. Sylvia's greatest contribution tonight was not leading the building of the campsite. It was rather referring to that "sexy man in green". Hilarious and just imagine if they hook up, scandalous!

I'm digging the names on the season.... Rocky, Dreamz, Boo, Mookie, Monkey, Papa Smurf. Love it.

I agree with YeahWhatever... doesn't look like this season will be as good as Cook Islands... maybe a mutiny?

Early Personal Faves: Anthony, Yau Man and Mookie
Early Personal Dislikes: Rocky (simply because he said he'll tell Jessica if she was on chopping block, but didn't)

This season is going to be interesting and it has potential to be on the best. However some of these people clearly don't know what game their playing (Erica). 10 bucks she's the next one gone. I'm loving Yau-Man, Michelle and Earl and can see them going very far. Dre (I refuse to call him "Dreamz") needs to be hit over the head with something very large and heavy because I'd probably have to resist the urge to strangle him if I was out there, he can't get the boot soon enough.

Yeah I think every season starts off with us thinking it won't be half as good as the past ones, then we start hating and loving the players, and before long we're going as nuts as usual...but I have to agree after seeing the first episode, a serious lack of cuties! Maybe as they lose weight and get whiskery it'll improve!;) But that doesn't necessarily mean it's any less fun...besides, it's nice to see Survivor continue the racial mix, that last season wasn't a one-shot...|

OK, Mookie is officially HOT! A few days of sweat, no food, no water, no shaving makes a big difference!

I didn't much care whether Sylvia or Erica went, these early days it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between personalities. Syliva doesn't seem like an evil tyrant, and Erica found the pineapples before she freaked, so...eh.

I'm liking the Mookie 'n' Rocky show, I hope it keeps going...two hot schemers!

Told you ..|

I like Lisi and Mookie. Lisi seems wild and fun. She reminds me of myself... Annoying and wild. Mookie is very straight forward and blunt. I liked Sylvia too, I feel for her. She was isolated from everyone for so long and got the axe due to speculation about the immunity idol.

Sylvia needed to work on flying under the radar. As soon as she returned from Exile she should have just shut up instead of trying to run things. Do these people learn nothing from past seasons?

I still enjoy the show but we do need some better eyecandy in Fiji.

Fiji has so far been the worse Survivor ever. I think part of it is due to a forgettable cast this time. Another problem is with how they are implementing the haves vs. have-nots. They should have made it more interesting by having them play for privilege to live in the fancy hut in either the reward or immunity challenge and the losing tribe goes to the crappy beach. But instead, the same tribe gets to stay in the hut indefinately.

i agree with the idea that as the season goes on you become attached to the looks of the characters..so far i cannot get enough of mookie... i love his body.. his chest is so good looking....i wish there was site for male chests....other than that...the season is so so

I really liked tonights episode. I really feel for Ravu. I was on the edge of my couch rooting for them. Was anyone else expecting them to win? They could've pulled off an upset because of Moto's weaker links (Cassandra and Lisi).

How can anybody not like this season? After all, they did start off with 19 people. Unlike other survivors we really won't get to know anybody until episode 3 or 4. By now I'm sure that everybody will have a favourite as this episode tried to give everyone screen time.

My current favourites are still Lisi and Mookie. I like Alex and Earl too. I have a feeling that my latter two picks will get further than my favourites. Not many people like Mookie and Lisi.

It's a stupid concept and they're boring people. Survivor is not about having your own damn cot bitches. The problem with this season so far is there's no game playing going on... the one tribe doesn't need to because they're dominating and the other tribe... idk apparently they just are stupid. And what kinda idiots choose a cot over immunity? AND an immunity that ties the tribes! I wanna slap them all. It's just like people who step out of competitions at the merge so they can eat. It pisses me off.

Bad strategic move on Moto's part, they could have kept their numbers instead of the luxury that isn't Survivor.

Hopefully Gary returns next week and kills Rocky, he complains about everyone else yet is lazy around camp and did not win in his part of the challenge last night.

That was a dumb move on Moto's part (in a sense). I guess that they didn't want to give up their luxury and easy access to food - which makes sense. But I think even if Moto had choose to go to the other camp, then they still would have beaten Ravu ass everytime. Ravu just can't work together...I think that this season is going to be another repeat of another Survivor - whichever one Stephanie was in, and her tribe got destroyed.

I have a feeling that a tribe mix-up will occur soon. The alliance of 5 in Moto is going to come to a halt. I think that a tribe mix-up is in the works mostly because the tribes are dead even and the producers probably don't want the past repeating itself.

What? Survivor has been doing tribe mix-ups many times in the last several Survivor series. A tribe mix-up would be the past repeating itself. It would be a surprise if there is no mix-up before the merge.

You know what I mean. Tribe mix-up's are a staple like tribal council and immunity challenges. What I was referring to was the whole tribe getting "pagonged" or one tribe dominating completely. The whole underdog thing is interesting to watch, but for some it gets old fast.

It doesn't matter if you EVER choose to put yourself at risk of elimination voluntarily you loose my respect. You keep your numbers if for no other reason so you have fat you can trim later when you do actually loose. It's just stupid. It's a stupid and unecessarily arrogant to put yourself at risk. Just bad gameplay.

Yawn...

I think it was a BAD idea to let one tribe be fat and happy - they're usually dull to watch, and watching the other team lose lose lose gets old old old. So far this is one of the worst seasons of Survivor.

However, watching those two evil women at Moto treat Dreamz and Cassandra like dogs was pretty riveting - if Moto had lost the challenge, that would have been fun to watch. But - of course - Ravu lost...

Anyway, next week (on Wednesday!) looks pretty interesting - Dreamz switches teams, the camps are up for grabs...

I was finally happy that it looked like Ravu was going to break the chain of losing. I was cracking up when Ravu got up there and got demolished...poor Rocky, all talk and no game. I don't think that he went back up there.

I hope Stacy becomes fast friends with Michelle because she will need that to stay in this game.

I HATE ROCKY.
