Um yes she did. Sugar vs Crystal could result in a win for her. She blew it tonight.

Well my comment was made with the assumption of a final 3. However, even if it was Crystal and Sugar final two, it wasn't a guarantee because Corinne has made it pretty clear she wouldn't vote for Sugar and I'm sure she could have swayed the rest of her alliance to vote Crystal and with Kenny's vote, that's already majority. Just my thoughts.

After watching the Ponderosa episodes, maybe not... I don't know. Then again, had it been Sugar there, maybe they'd treat her the same way.

But yeah, the Onions are pretty much everything most people kept saying they were, just took me a bit longer to realize it (well I knew with Randy and Corinne for quite a while now).

People choose between unattractive options though. Just because Corrine hates Sugar doesn't mean she wouldn't vote for Sugar over Crystal. And even if she didn't, what makes you think she has the most influence over her alliance? The way they iced Crystal in those videos I think proves that they weren't voting for her. Randy was never voting for Crystal. Period. And Marcus blames Crystal for him being voted off. And who do you think can get Charlie to do anything - Marcus or Corinne?

No it's not a guarantee but Crystal was clearly a better F2 or F3 partner for Sugar than Matty, Bob or even Kenny. You can't deny that. Sugar's move to boot Crystal is the worst move in the game so far in terms of individual strategy.

This comment was made before I watched the Ponderosa videos and how they treated Crystal (I posted my changing thoughts one post above this one). Now after watching it, I agree... I don't think they would have voted for Crystal in the finals.

First I must put this disclaimer: I didn't read anyones posts yet. I'm going up to read through them after so I'm sorry if I mention something that's already been discussed.

So after a day or so to digest things I've determined that it's not even what Sugar did that was so monumental dumb but WHY she did it. I say this because it occurred to me (in the shower of all places) that arguable one of the best Survivor players of all time and my personal favorite Cirie Fields pulled a very similar move at a very similar point in her came when she got Courtney voted out. The huge difference here Cirie got Court voted out BECAUSE she couldn't beat anyone in the final two and THEREFORE everyone would take her and THEREFORE no one would take Cirie so Cirie, knowing she couldn't win her way to the finals saw Courtney as her biggest threat. Sugar, not a big challenge winner, my backwardly benefit from this but she didn't intend to. There are actually a few reasons Sugar could've done this that didn't make her a complete moron....

A) As stated above
B) If Bob being a "man of integrity" refused to go along with a plan to get rid of Kenny. As a loophole Bob could vote Crystal out and not break his deal with Kenny because Bob didn't think that Kenny was going home.... I still would've been against it under these circumstance but at least it'd make some sense.
C) If she gave ANY indication that she suspected a final two and didn't want a firm two set making it so close to the end

But she expressed none of these and as far as I can tell voted out Crystal just because Sugar likes Kenny more than Crystal. WTF

My question now is: if Sugar did something that is strategically sound in the end (as you said, the kind of move Cirie did) does it matter that her intentions weren't as bright? I mean doesn't it amount to the same thing?

Well I think seeing as there's not a final two the situation this won't help Sugar as it could've helped Cirie. As for whether her intentions matter well I think that depends on what the question is. If it's for ability to play then yes... yes it clearly matters. It's like people who say that Christopher Columbus knew what he was doing.

Well I think Bob is playing well but I personally don't like when people talk about "good people" in a game of social strategy or "integrity" as Sugar and Bob have annoyingly started to do. Plus Bob was way too chummy with Team Asshole and endorsing Randy's racism. I really didn't like that he SCOLDED SUGAR for laughing at Randy when

1. Bob was part of that and
2. Why not scold Randy then for being a racist and an asshole?

Interesting. BEcause I feel the same way about moralizing of the game but neither Sugar nor Bob have really upset me somehow. You know? Perhaps it's just not been pervasive enough to annoy me yet.

I LOVED THIS... Crystal's blindside! I loved watching Kenny and Crystal pout during the entire tribal council, instead of laughing and mocking others while they blindsided people in the previous few tribal councils. Karma's a bitch!

Anyways, Kenny did earn some bragging rights, I agree. However, I feel like I've constantly have been hearing him say it was all him and he was responsible for all the blindsides. While he may have orchestrated them, they wouldn't have been fully executed without his alliance and him not giving them credit for it is my problem with him.

Also, wasn't Crystal the one responsible for Marcus' blindside? I believe Kenny's name was brought up to be voted off and Crystal wasn't having it and let the rest of the tribe know about it? Or am I wrong?

2. It totally makes sense for Sugar and Matty to try to get out Kenny, and had they voted him out this week (since Bob has Immunity anyway) that would have made strategic sense. I like Kenny, but unlike some people here, I can separate my personal preference and talk about what is a good move for each player. So yeah, eliminating Kenny would have made sense for Sugar. But Crystal?? Crystal who likely can't win this game against anyone? Crystal who was not great in competitions either?? Crystal who was Sugar's best and maybe even only chance to win this game???
