Great...I know Randy will be an ass at the finale. He will make some comments on how great he was. Glad to see someone knock him down a peg.

Yeah I don't understand Susie either. First chance to take a bath in 30 days and you get out. Other dumb people such as Crystal who didn't win anythign in the auction.

I don't think they show us all the items...

About next week, I think Bob is just making up an excuse on how he found the idol he gave to Randy because Marcus was never on Fang

Yeah, I had the same first thought when seeing next weeks episode with Bob and Corrinne.

I think Bob is trying to make an explanation to Corrinne about the fake idol and that it was from the idol they thought they threw in the Ocean. So he is playing dumb....Corrinne being so stupid will actually buy it...

This is without a doubt my favorite Tribal Council moment ever! With Crystal talking so loudly when casting her vote, to Sugar laughing uncontrollably, to that arrogant wink from Corrinne to Marcus & Charlie (only to get burned) To Randy's expression when Probst said it was not the idol.....I really thought Randy would say something sarcastic on his way out to them......

I also don't understand why those three were gunning for Susie....makes no sense...should of gone for Crystal or Matty....I mean, if they believe she was disloyal...wasn't Sugar also an original member of their tribe in the beginning..

Funny at the start of the season, I had little hope for Sugar...now I really want her to win! Pin Up Models BEWARE!!

I can't wait for the final Tribal Council..you know it's going to be good...Randy and Crystal alone will have so much to say!..

LOVE IT!

Also, on the matter of him being a racist, I can't comment-- I don't think there is sufficient evidence so why make the claim? Randy didn't have any problem with Charlie being gay and referred to him as a friend, if he was racist it would be a no brainer that he'd most likely hate Charlie. Therefore, I don't think he is racist nor would I assume he is. I don't blame him for hating GC & Crystal, I don't like either of them.

LOL at this. You need to check up the definition of racist, buddy. Last time I check, homosexsual was not a race.

Anyways, this episode was pretty funny. Sugar is pretty awesome, I hope she ends up winning the whole thing.

Matty was cute during the whole reward competition, with the cookies and hamburger.. I don't know.. I just found him to be cute. Except when he was eating the hamburger.. not so cute.

Amazing episode, and amazing season so far. I have no idea what kinda crack Randy was smoking. Why would they think Sugar didn't find the idol after what? 5 trips to exile, and Bob found it after 2? And what the hell was Bob thinking pulling the whole fake idol thing, and then voting for Suzie?

Best scenario I think is for Corinne, Bob, Matty, and Sugar to take out Crystal, Kenny, and Suzie. I guess they could all take Corinne out first (hate her) and then Bob, Matty & Sugar with the idol could probably get rid of Crystal, Kenny & Suzie. I'm not sure Matty & Sugar are gonna get wise quick enough to execute this plan though. I hope Sugar wins, but I think my money is on Kenny.

RNO: What do you think the average viewer was thinking as they watched?

Randy: I would guess they were saying to themselves, “Finally, the villain Randy is gone.” That’s the average unsophisticated viewer of course.

RNO: What about the sophisticated viewer?

Randy: They’re thinking, “What am I going to do next Thursday night – that’s one of five or six players that know how to play this game and have an IQ over 85.”

Randy: I knew he hadn’t been played. Bob was a friend and an ally. I’m still thinking from a strategic point of view – what good could giving me a fake idol do him? It would get me not to vote for him at the end if he’s in the finals.

When Jeff asked for the immunity idol, I looked down and saw Sugar and Crystal laughing. I knew it was fake, but I said what the hell, Eliza played a stick last season. It was my only move, I was going home anyway.

Oh Matty has definitely grown on me as well! He has no game and is not a good strategist by any means, but he's cute and I find his whole dumb surfer shtick adorable.

This is what I find adorable about him, as well.

Anyways, I've been meaning to ask... what happens at final 3? They've made it clear its important to get there and I'm wondering how it works once it's down to that number.

There will be a Final Tribal Council where the Jury asks questions to the finalists and then vote for one of them to win.

Oh, so 3 people make it to the finals.. interesting.

I always thought it was just 2 in the finals ... then they council picked a winner.

Oh, so 3 people make it to the finals.. interesting.

That was one of the twists introduced in Season 13 and used until Season 15. It were 2 people in the finals before. :)

I read an interview with Jeff where he said they liked to surprise the contestants so I think they will alternate between final 2 and 3

WTF?? How does this make any sense?? Charlie is white. Why would a racist white man hate Charlie?

... etc,

I'm happy to answer. Racism and homophobia stem from the same place-- bigotry. Homosexuals can be bigots too, you're right-- somebody said Charlie should win because he's gay, seriously? If Randy is accepting of gay people I am hard pressed to believe that he's also racist, in the general view point of the world racism is less of an issue now than homosexuals. However, if you want to make the argument Randy is racist but accepting of homosexuals then by all means, go for it. I'm not as naive to judge a person based on watching him for a few hours on TV in very unique circumstances.

GC/Crystal are both very unlikeable people from my point of view, I am sure they were also the favorites to others. Calling them a gang was pretty hilarious in my opinion, I think it's unfair to extrapolate his interactions with them out to every other person of color. I also laughed when he called Kenny Gollum, I thought it was very fitting. I guess in order to like Randy you have to "get" him-- but I am done talking about him. Just different opinions.

As for Susie being a bump on the log, she is a weak player all around. She jumped ship, which is fine, but other than her decision to do that I never see HER being the one to pitch the spiels on what to do. That's usually Kenny or Matty. She won immunity idol in the fire starter competition, good for her, does that make her suddenly exciting? Lol, no, it does not. Susie gets the least camera time out of anybody for a reason. At least Crystal is a bit of a firecracker and entertains me.

LOL at you. You can see my prior post on views of racism and homophobia (bigotry). I thought there would be confusion when I posted that, I was under the assumption people could connect some dots without me doing it for them. ](*,)

LOL at me for not understanding a statement that was unclear? Okay...

I had to watch it again a few more times.:badgrin:

Randy and Charlie on a date tonight? This is from Reality Blurred

Speaking of his friendships, Randy said, “I have a date with Charlie going to see Clay Aiken on Broadway. I’m dead serious and I’m looking forward to it.” I initially laughed because I thought he was joking, but they actually are going to see Clay Aiken in Spamalot tonight. Clearly, CBS should show video from that instead of the clip show next week.

I'm happy to answer. Racism and homophobia stem from the same place-- bigotry.

WOW.... um NO. No they don't at all

First of all look up the term bigotry please... don't bother I will

bigotry- –noun, plural -ries. 1. stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own. 2. the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.
Now as we can see this is a general term used to describe ALL forms of discrimination not something things stem "from." Therefore a bigot is a person who is intolerant of one OR more groups of people. Racists and Homophobes are two types of bigots but no logical individual can derive from this that all homophobes must be racists because they're bigots. That's like saying all geese must be ducks because both ducks and geese are birds.

2. They CLEARLY do not have the same root because people aren't born with innate prejudices. They gain them from their upbringing/environment. And there's no reason to assume that the rampant religious undertones that more often than not cause homophobic behavior should be tied to the centuries old inferiority complex, greed, cultural ignorance, and xenophobia which are often responsible for racial problems. They stem from two entirely different things.

Calling them a gang was pretty hilarious in my opinion,

Well it's not. It's racist. Referring to two people of color as a "gang" simply because they are in the same physical location for an extended period of time is just a reflection of having a fear of African American's due to untrue stereotypes leading to a distortion of one's views: ie two people of color who clearly don't like each other are running a "gang"

Yeah see I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding here...

It's not that we didn't understand where you would make that link. We just realized it was painfully obvious that it was wildly inaccurate in a way that is almost shocking. I mean on THE most basal surface level I could see where you might make that assumption if you knew absolutely nothing about race relations or homosexuality but I think the issue here is that the vast majority of the board kind of assumes that everyone must have SOME clue, even a tiny one, in these areas and was therefor shocked by your incredibly brazen yet blatantly untrue statement.

So to put in terms of dots... we can see how you connected the doubt we just don't understand why you would connect them in such a manner (Figure 1 A.)

Also I didn't have much to do today at work (Figure 1 B)

Figure 1) A) A diagram of the inaccuracy of your analogy. B) A cat in crocs.

Hope that helped

Let's hope not... I don't see how anyone can tolerate Randy. He just seems like a mean-spirited person all around.

Oh btw another question: is there a reunion?

Yes, the finale is a 2 hour episode followed by a 1 hour reunion where the winner is revealed :)

Seriously.

And There Is A Huge Difference Between Being A Homophile And A Heterophobe. Bigotry By Its Very Nature Is Hateful. Placing A Gay Brother On A Pedestal And Giving Him Every Consideration Including Preferential Treatment In All Things Hardly Makes One A Bigot. Indeed, I Don't Know Of Anyone Who Has A Problem With Str8 Boys As Long As They Know Their Place And Don't Step Out Of Line By Demanding Equal Treatment In An Unequal Homophobic World. When We Stop Being Treated As 2nd Class Citizens By The Str8 Community - Then They Can Cry To The World About How Unfair Life Is.

WOW this is the biggest crock of shit I've ever read. I don't know where to begin... I truly truly don't. It's so so dumb and just blatantly prejudice that I can not act as if it's not. I can't act as if it doesn't offend me with every fiber of my being because it does. I've never seen such BLATANT bigotry. And I think what disgusts me most, and it does disgust me, is that you seem legitimately PROUD of your bigotry.

You can try to justify your bigotry however you want but you can't tell me that your comments come out of love when you say that straight people need to
Know Their Place
and that straight people shouldn't
Step Out Of Line By Demanding Equal Treatment

I don't know what happened to you in your past or what you experienced to make you so angry and bitter. I can't imagine events that would lead a person to think that they deserve special treatment simply because they are gay. I don't know but the fact that you seem to think no straight person has the right to complain about anything because they couldn't possibly have experienced as much trouble in this world as you boggle my fucking mind. I don't get it. I don't get how you could not realize that there are so many problems, so much suffering, and so many underprivledged people in this world who have fight just to live and in light of that still think you are burden simply because you're homosexual. Let me tell you I have dealt with a lot of shit in my life, some of it because I'm gay most of it for other reasons. But I have NEVER been so short sighted to think that there aren't people in this world of every race/gender/sexual orientation who have had it so much worse than me. And never, ever, ever, even attempt to claim that simply because of my sexual orientation the world SHOULD give me more and if you truly believe that there is something fundamentally wrong with your thinking and you need to see someone and fix it.
