OMG!!! Despite the record evacuations this is turning into one of my favorite seasons!! After losing Jonathan, Tracy and then Eliza, I thought I wouldn't care about this season anymore but we've had SO MANY surprising Tribal Councils. Tracy and her click blindsiding Joel and Mikey B, Cirie and Parvati ousting Ozzy and Natalie and the bitches ousting Jason and now AMAZING AMANDA who is the only person this season smart enough to play the fucking idol when she found it! HA HA HA!! LOOOVED IT! I too wish she had targeted Natalie (Alexis didn't seem like that much of a threat) and if the three Fave Girls stick together next week, then Erik and Natalie are toast! All they need is for Amanda to win Immunity next week and they can oust Erik.
Wow, scratch that FalconFan, AMANDA may win this whole thing and we may have a F3 with Amanda, Paravati and Cirie. Which would be beautiful!
I agree in theory, but there's another school of thought on this one, as well: First, though, I want to take this time to mention how much I hate Natalie. A lot. And she is not nearly as well-liked as Alexis, to be sure.
But come final tribal, there is always someone who receives a couple of what I like to call "integrity votes". (See Courtney last season, who was the only one of the final three to not "backstab" and received two votes for it.) Sometimes, if the survivor is truly eloquent (remember: Alexis is a motivational speaker), that person can weave a beautiful tapestry for the jury about how he/she was able to play the game not only socially and physically, but with "integrity". Sometimes, that can be quite swaying. Also, for Amanda's plan to be successful, she needed Parvati to help her, (This was obvious when Parvati gave Amanda time to dig for the idol, etc.) and remember, after Parvati swore to the others that she wouldn't vote for Amanda, Parvati told Amanda that she wanted to vote for Alexis because of the friendliness factor. Even though Amanda had wanted to vote for Natalie (because she saw her as more of a physical threat), she relented to vote for Alexis. I think this was largely due to the fact that she certainly didn't want to roil the pot of the only person who was being faithful to her and give Parvati a reason to "tattle". You say Alexis, I say fine.
I could be off-base, but as a big Amanda fan for both seasons (my roommate and I dubbed her "Nice Face" the first time she was on the screen before we knew her name), this was her finest hour. Not only did she play the idol, but she also told the truth about when she found it (and REMINDED them at tribal so that the jury could see her honesty). AND she blackened Erik in front of them, which (even though it was part of her perfectly angsty whiny Oscar-winning, pre-idol performance) outed him as untrustworthy. Amanda is also winning the award for screwing the fewest people over IN ADDITION TO playing a great social game and boasting a large amount of the likeability factor. She is the person to beat right now.
That being said, the target on her back is as wide as the Montana sky, and I think that she needs to win immunity next time to guarantee her place in the final.
I might be overthinking a lot of this, but this is my (verbosely) comprehensive take so far.
Also, does anyone else just LOVE Eliza's expressions on the jury? She keeps getting surprised every week and she's just dying from the excitement. It's a great drama and she is so tuned in!
