Survivor Samoa

Agreed. This leads me to sharing that this is the first season where I felt that the producers intervened and were in cahoots .

I agree, I think this season has been highly suspicious what with Russell and all the idols he keeps "finding."

I do think it wasnt the right time to get rid of russell
Coz then they wouldnt have Shambo on their side.

Shambo can be sold on anything at anytime by anyone anywhere. All they'd have to tell her is that Russell was plotting to get her out and she'd believe it. Plus she doesn't have strong ties to Brett and Monica, and because of her own betrayal of Galu they have no reason to trust her either. On top of all that, her working with Monica and Brett could only (at best) produce a tie.

It was absolutely the right time to get rid of Russell. Watch him skate to the finale now. If that happens, this will be the moment Mick and Jaison regret the most.

this is so damn funny to see every Galu member voted off by the Foa Foa 4.
The name Foa Foa 4 just sticks in my head: it's alliterative and catchy. It sounds like either 1) some notorious Samoan gangsters, or 2) a cabal of Samoan political prisoners. I can imagine some irate Maoists chanting "Free the Foa Foa 4!"

Russel thinks he's wealthy. Well, he's got nothin' on Shambo! She owns Nevada beach resorts, a bridge in Brooklyn, and a miracle cure for erectile dysfunction composed of secret Chinese herbs.

It's been going on all season, but Russel as Texas wildcatter is just so absurd. I'm shocked that Mick believes him. Now, John as rocket scientist I can believe: they're supposed to be short on social skills and practical intelligence. But Russell? He's more Boss Hogg than JR Ewing.

While I'm happy that Shamwow is finally GONE, it was such a bad move strategically because she was a guaranteed jury goat as all of Galu hates her.

But you know what? I don't care. Shambitch is GONE!

^ Exactly! It would have made more sense to get rid of Mick, he is just as likable as Brett, Russell even listed all the positives about keeping Shambo and keeping Mick, he came up with three for Shambo and one for Mick and STILL voted out Shambo.

That was probably the second bad move I have seen Russell make in this game, the first being his social game.

I love how last week's promo was so hilariously misleading. A pact between Mick, Natalie and Brett to find food to create their own reward was turned into a "pact against Russell."

Also, in addition to Shamu's boot, my favorite part of tonight's episode was Natalie's "Oh my word!" followed by an avalanche of coconuts in the reward challenge. "Oh my word!" is the 2009 version of "Oh my heck!" but it still amuses me.

The season is clearly telling the story of how Russell won or the story of how Russell lost, but the trick is figuring out which one it is. Because Russell just stupidly voted out an easy jury goat, the season being about how Russell lost isn't completely out of the question. I think it would be hilarious if Natalie, Brett and Mick used Russell's stupidity in voting off Shambore to vote him out 3-2 in the F5.

Unfortunately, we'll likely see Brett going out 4-1 and Russell becoming the winner who was surrounded by a bunch of idiotic players, just like Brian Heidik.

Yep, just like Helen, Jan and Ted, the Foa Foa trio will obey their master and hand him the mil. What a shitty group of competitiors. ](*,)

I'm thinking either Russell or Natalie win, their relationship has been brought up so many times. Russell has played a horrible social game which might hurt him in the end. Natalie has played a great social game and we even had a confessional from her earlier in the season about building relationships and from what we have seen so far she has done just that.

She has a good chance of getting Monica's, Kelly's, and Laura's votes and Brett's if he makes it to the jury.

I think the story of this season is of how Russell loses and how he loses to someone he underestimated from day one - Natalie.

Russell has made two fatal errors this season IMO. 1) he underestimated not just Natalie but pretty much everyone, and in a game like Survivor it is not smart to underestimate your opponents. And 2) He made way too many enemies on the jury, Survivor is first and foremost and social game, an aspect that Russell has ignored since day 1.

I think Natalie will win if she makes it to the final tribal council with anyone other than Brett.

The only reason I can think of why nobody is bothering to take out Russell is because everyone thinks he can't win. Maybe the editing hasn't shown us how much people really dislike him. But it's too late now anyway. We will soon see if the rest really were idiots by not taking out Russell, or if it was actually a good strategy.

God I hope you're right, and Lord knows I would laugh my ass off watching that smug troll lose to a girl (he clearly has a problem with women), but nothing this season -- and certainly nothing in the history of this show -- makes me think that will actually happen.

Don't count the chickens before they're hatched ;)

You're absolutely right but I think if Russell makes it to the final with his Foa Foa trio, he's the favorite to win. He's been more influential on decisions that anyone else left in the game AND I think in his speech to the jury, he will successfully convince them that he deserves the money more than Jaison, Mick and Natalie. The only obstacle for him is Brett.

GENUINELY cannot believe what happened last night... I mean fair enough Russell had the idol, but he was clearly arrogant enough not to play it, so why not even TRY to get rid of him?...

The ONLY way one of Mick/Natalie/Jaison can hope to win is if it those three together in the finals... so what do they do? Vote out the one other person they could potentially beat if something goes wrong. Brilliant.

Although personally, I'm all for Brett getting the win... if he could hang on long enough to swing it around back to Galu... wow.

So glad that Shambo is gone. She starting annoying me everytime the camera was on her.

If the spoilers we've been hearing are correct, here's how it might go down...

POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!

At F5, Brett wins the next immunity challenge, forcing Foa Foa to turn on each other. Russell and Natalie help Mick vote out Jaison because they think keeping Mick around is their best chance at beating Brett in the next immunity challenge.

At F4, either Russell or Mick wins immunity so Brett goes home.

And that leaves the Russell, Natalie, Mick F3 that the spoilers indicated.

The thing is, if that is the case then Natalie is REALLY stupid... what she ought to do is pair up with Mick and Jaison to take care of Russell, because against Russell none of them can win ANYWAY, plus she'd still have Mick around to take care of Brett. At the end of the day, I really think the only hope for Natalie, Mick, or Jaison to win is if they go together as a three in front of the jury, and in that case, it's Natalie's game. I don't see how Mick or Jaison can really win at this point, unless Natalie pulls an Amanda at the final tribal...

Plus, I'm not really sure why that would happen anyway... if that's THAT big a concern, Jaison's record for individual immunity is better than Mick's, and Russell was half tempted to vote out Mick ANYWAY in this episode... so what would happen to make him swap to wanting to get rid of Jaison instead.

Natalie wants to take Russell to the end as a goat because she knows the jury is bitter against him. Russell also wants to take Natalie to the end as a goat which makes their alliance pretty funny.

I couldn't agree more! Unfortunately, as lovely as Natalie is, I think she's making a huge miscalculation and it will cost her the game. This past episode confirmed for me that she is indeed loyal to Russell (ugh).

Yes but history tells us that Natalie is making the mistake in that calculation, not Russell.

Exactly. In show history, in guy v. girl finals, the guys have won 9 while the girls have won only 3. She's going to have to give the speech of all speeches to win them over. I could see Monica and Laura taking her to task about strategy and coattail riding. Erik and John may think she's hot but they're also asshole-ish so they could throw her under the bus. Shambo is partial to Russell while Dave's vote is up for grabs. Brett I could see voting for Natalie.
