Survivor Samoa

We've been seeing some reversals of fortune.

Erik, on the jury, had an accurate read (in reaction to the vote-off).

I will say this: I have the feeling it is Natalie who has been playing smartest in Survivor: Samoa.
I'm rooting for her (regardless the result).

I totally agree. Unfortunately she has no chance of winning unless she goes to the finals with Monica and Shambo.

I don't necessary agree. In the coming episodes, I suspect men will be getting their torches snuffed. And also, I think there's negotiable wiggle room. Natalie is, by far, the most strategic among the women. And she and Russell have figured out game maneuvers. So I'm not dismissing her at all.

Are you saying she has a chance of ending up in the finals with a woman, or that she can win if she goes up against Russell? Because judging from this cast -- and the way gender politics usually work on Survivor -- Natalie won't win against Dave, John, Jaison, Mick and especially Russell. She could probably easily win against Shambo or Monica.

I have no way to gauge Brett's odds since we never really see him but he hasn't made any enemies (right?) and he's a young guy, so I doubt she could beat him either.

Unfortunately I think Russell has this game won. Now that his side has the majority he is no real danger of being voted out any time soon and he has the hidden immunity idol. He seems to gave gained some respect from other people for his strategic gameplay.

Russell is an actor and this entire season is a setup for "ratings".

Social game; Natalie could beat Monica or Shambo or men like Russell or John or Jaison or Mick or Brett or Dave.

....who is Brett???

....oh wait, it's that other guy I see every now and then on the show, man, his edit sucks, seriously it doesn't even feel he's there half the time...LOL

....I agree, the season really turned once the merge happened. I never in my wildest dreams would of thought the Foa Foa four would survive!! I think its awesome that Galu, who bragged ang gloated all season at winning every challenge and having and 8-4 lead at the merge, has dissected themselves!...They really did underestimate the Foa Foa four!

I will be very bummed if Russell wins this game or even the fan favorite prize. I love Dave's reactions at tribal council the past two weeks when his team members got voted off....they are priceless!

I am curious why Dave couldn't keep up running with Russell in the woods looking for the idol? How could he lose him like that? That was odd to me...

.....ahhh and I definately agree, Jon is hot!!! Rocket Scientist:D

can't wait to see how it all plays out........

Dammit !!! I LOVE THIS SEASON !!! since the merge we've only had good episodes, blindises, and good actions.

I was afraid Nat was going home, but John blindsided everyone. (by the way he's HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT)

I' have to admit that I really like Russel now. Iwas thrilled he found the immunity idol. I don't care if it's staged etc... It's entertainment and they entertain me !!!

i loved how natalie performed in the reward challenge she was FLYING Literally !!!

Russel and Natalie are palying a good game. I thought at first that Russ gave the idol to Natalie coz they figured she was the one gunned by the Galu tribe but it all turned out awesome. Laura (I didnt like her) is gone. Galu is down to 4 and shambo is the REAL wild card now. considering te fact she bonded with Russ and he has the idol. I think that Foa Foa is going to do even better than the Jalapao 3 ending up in the F4. Especillay considering the facts that Ole timbira was not very tight before the merge (Brendan / Erinn / Coach)

Oh and I was laughing my ass off when jeff advertised the cell I think it was hilarious.

Rooting for: Russel, Natalie, Mick & Brett
Next boot : John

John and Mick are both looking hot. Mick's "centerfold" pose in the shelter was *|*

It's still hard for me to want Russell to succeed. Especially after seeing the preview for next week where he apparently will secretly let the chickens escape. There is a line where playing a game goes from tactical to just plain dirty. Are future players now expected to stand guard all night to protect the tribe's food from other players?

I stopped watching Survivor two seasons prior to this one, I am glad I started watching it again this season. Since the merge it has been fantastic, the blindsides are amazing. At the beginning I hated Russell, I am now routing for him, he is playing the game and is damn good at it.

I am loving watching Eric's reaction as he sits on the jury at tribal council and it should only get more interesting with Laura sitting beside him next week.

If we have a Final Three, rather than Two, I would pull for the following: John, Natalie, and Russell.

I'm liking Natalie the best.

The past couple of seasons have also had some excellent blindsides. For example, from Tocantins, Brendan and Tyson were victims of huge blindsides. From Gabon, there was Charlie, Ace, Marcus, Crystal, and the all too memorable one where Sugar was involved in blindsiding Randy. In fact, I think Gabon may have had more blindsides than any other season.

^^ Marcus was probably one of my favorite blindsides, I was so happy when he left.

Brett has got to be the most invisible contestants ever. He had like two confessionals since the show began.

There's always been at least one Brett per season to be honest. Though, I agree, it's like they're specifically going out of their way not to show the guy for some reason. He'll probably be a repeat of Spencer from Tocantins in that he'll remain invisible until his boot episode, in which he'll suddenly get two or three confessionals to remind the audience who the hell this guy actually is, and then he'll get voted out.

That's really my problem with twenty-person seasons. The editors have a hard time featuring all sixteen people in most seasons, so throwing in four more and using double boots and medevacs to make up the time difference, rather than increasing the episode count, means more contestants like Brett and Kelly. Kelly being HII'd out of the game last week would have meant more if we had any idea who that chick is (besides being a hairdresser who has sea hag hair).

I also watched last night episode and was surprised to see that guy named Brett there, I thought he got voted out a long time ago (he's still cute).

I'm also sick of Erik's reactions @ Tribal Council, what a douche. Someone needs to punch him in the throat.

Galu is so fucking retarded and Shamoo is disgusting. Her hair makes me upset.

I still think Russel is a troll and something about him getting those immunity idols all the time irks me.

John pissed me off by switching I was really hoping for the rock thing, and Dave reaction @ the end was hilarious (He still screams rapist to me).

Mick is the only one I really want to win he's gorgeous, and maybe Nat but only because she's cute.

As far as everyone else goes, Blah...

Lol...I watched the last episode. Are they intentionally, nail-by-nail, trying to close the coffin on this dying reality series? It's painfully obvious that the production team has been and is still heavily influencing the game. It leads me to believe that perhaps this show has gotten far too expensive to produce, and CBS is intentionally foiling the show to give it the axe? Because for anyone with a fifth of a brain it's insufferable to watch.

However, I noticed they're now simultaneously 'casting' for both Survivor 21 and Survivor 22 (sigh). Please...one of you Americans on here, sign up. :p http://www.cbs.com/casting/survivor/Application.pdf I'll e-mail you the numerous essays I have written on cold reading and group polarization, and I'll win the show for you.

I understand what you're saying about Survivor. And I think, for some, it doesn't matter.

Pure entertainment.
