Thought I'd ask: how many of you guys like sushi? Why or why not? Or your favorite type?

I used to not really be a big fan of it, but this past year I have gotten more into it and am loving it. <3

I love sushi. It is my traditional birthday meal. My parents sit across the table eating Teriyaki chicken and looking vaguely uncomfortable as I nom on eel and salmon and tuna and other delicious things that used to swim.

Love it love it! Haven't found too many decent places in Edmonton, but when I worked in downtown Vancouver it wasn't unusual for me to have sushi 5 or 6 times week...

could eat it everyday. uni and toro are two of my favorites.

Hell yea! Sushi is the bomb. I love it. I could go for some right now.

Eel doesn't have a taste as much as it does a texture, really. It's like mushroomy-gummybear-ish, and a little slippery. But good! The flavor, such as it is, is sweet and kind of fishy.

In closing, eel tastes like eel.

I had to do a double take. I thought you wrote "Sushit" for this thread title.

I love sushi & sashimi. I like all the ingredients: rice, seaweed, avacado, sesami, etc. It's healthy low cal as well.

LOVE fusion sushi from Sushi Samba in NYC!

The thought of eating raw fish grosses me out... completely.

My ex loved sushi. In an attempt to be 'fair', and compromising after months of refusing I went with him to a sushi bar.

After watching him eat various disgusting things, and seeing tentacles hanging out of his mouth all I could envision was Smeegle smashing the fish on the rock and ripping it's guts out.

NEVER again!!!

:(

Eel sushi is very good. I'd say that eel and salmon are the most flavorful fish.

Not really a sushi guy, if only because I don't really like fish in general.

Though, the b/f and I do go for sushi; as there is a place that serves some chicken/beef/pork dishes that I can enjoy, while he can enjoy the sushi and other things.

unagi and any kinds of sashimi. *drools*

I can't go out on a date if the guy can't handle sushi. And California rolls don't count.

Sushi is delicious! I was a little nervous at first, but a friend got me to try it years ago. Now I eat it all the time.

I love Sushi! I once had eel sushi which if far more delicious than it sounds! Definetly give it a try

I like sushi, but the rice ruins the raw seafood.
I fucking love sashimi, especially raw salmon, raw salmon roe, and fresh oysters. Suki suki!

You haven't tried the traditional Chinese cuisine: fried eel stir-fried with fu-ma (I don't know the English name --').
