swim in heaven

The hotel, which has 2,560 rooms costing from £350 a night, was officially opened yesterday with a concert by Diana Ross.

The Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, estimated to have cost £2billion when it opened in 2004, was previously the world's most expensive hotel.

But with its indoor canal, opulent art, casino, outdoor plaza, convention centre, theatre, crystal pavilion and museum shaped like a lotus flower, the Marina Bay Sands has taken its crown.

Oh the anger Dubai must be feeling right now. Anyone else here the buzz of 20 new hotels costing twice this one being planned in Dubai?

i could kill two birds going there

a. i want to learn how 2 swim
b. get over my fear of heights where is that

Jamie,

The murder of two birds will not teach you how to swim. Even doing ducks

or swans won't help, that will only bring you AFOWL of the law.

Get a water spaniel and he can get you started with a dog paddle.

A fear of heights is even simpler to fix.....

A. Close your eyes

B. Don't look down

I think their death penalties for everything above parking violations are pretty grotesquely excessive. They also have an incredibly repressive government in general. Westerners ignore this because they're such a capitalist icon.

I don't think Singapore is grotesque in the same way as Dubai, though as you point out they've started to copy them.

Ummm,I think we're talking about architecture in this Thread?
