When I read that idiotic post, the one about showing 'dumbfuckistan'... well, I almost lost it... then I read your considerate and thoughtful post.

I live in what that Canadian guy (Canadian!) calls dumbfuckistan.... and there are many great places to see in that huge part of the USA.
You rightly pointed out Yellowstone, Nevada... and there are many great places to visit besides.

Not sure what the op and his mate want to do or see. But if they want to see wilderness or natural beauty, away from large crowds... then they should visit the the areas on that map that are so unkindly written off because of the way those folks voted in the last election.

Yeah, it's a stupid map. But I'm used to it. I also live in what they call the "flyover states" and get tired of the slurs from people in CA and NY.

But guess what? Gay marriage is legal in Iowa, Dumbfuckistan, and it's not legal in New York or California! So they can kiss my ass if they can reach it from there...
