Okay, maybe the title is redundant.

But thinking of the straw poll in Iowa, I got to wondering why anyone would poll straws. I mean, really -- where are straws allowed to vote?

But I guess a lot of straws voted for Bachwardsmann. Go figure.

Is your theory that when people set out to say something pithy and convincing, we just get a lot of tripe...ergo if we try to say something dumb, it should be a gold mine of wisdom?

I'm on to your reverse psychology, kulindahr. This is exactly how Thatcher and Reagan moved us all towards communism.

Politicians deserve our respect.

The UK conservative party really has changed and now supports lgbt people. Honest.

It's such a relief to know that the Republican Party is Libertarian at heart, and will gladly support the equality and choice of unigender marriages, so voting straight-ticket Republican is a great idea.

They have also repeatedly said that they will save Social Security and Medicare. (Uh, is that kind of what "we" did to My Lai in order to save it? But I digress...)

I know this is all true, because I saw somebody saying something kind of like that on the Internet...I think it was in a gay discussion board or something but I, uh, just can't think of where it, um, POSSIBLY could have been.

Oh, the Republicans haven't really said they'll save Medicaid though, did they? Maybe I'd better think a little more before I vote.

"I'm gay and proudly support the Republican Party."

(Spoken by many JUB members.)

Political comments on JUB define all that is idealistic, realistic, objective, wise, thought provoking, encouraging, uplifting, rewarding, prejudice free, balanced and even worth the time reading.

"Good luck to Margaret Atwood. I don’t even know her. She could walk right by me, I wouldn’t have a clue who she is,” - Doug Ford who obviously cut many many english classes.

Mayor Ford of Toronto is a misunderstood genius. (You'd have to live in T.O. to appreciate this one)

The communist party in China cares about humans and their rights and in fact, they are the ideal government to govern the whole world. I will trust them with my children, my partner and my parents (whom the government had done away with because my parents were Satanic democracy-abusing junkies)

social democrats are really just apologetic socialists, and government interference in any field lessens the quality of life individuals enjoy.

I'm voting tea bag party this year

Is that stupid enouh?

Until high school, I honestly thought that Republicans were liberal while Democrats were conservative. I've always tried to avoid politics, so I'm pretty clueless.

By the way... who's the VP nowadays?
