I caught the middle part of Love & War Friday morning not knowing who it was..While I was listening I thought to myself “Man, Toni got a nice single”, then when she went to a Higher register I thought “That ain’t Toni that’s Mariah” then she sang at a lower register and she sound like Toni again but I knew it wasn’t my Baby…I know Toni when I hear her…Then the radio Dj said it was Tamar, I was shocked but not SHOCKED…

Toni was on the Gayle King show last year and she told Gayle that Tamar is a MESS but she is also the BEST singer out of all the Sisters and she has the highest Range. I thought that was very interesting coming from Toni. Then Tamar was on the Gayle show months later and sang acapella and proved that she can SANG…

I’m glad Tamar's husband/manager(also discovered/manages/produces GaGa) Vince is backing her 100% so I expect her CD to be VERY Polished with radio-friendly-tracks from the beginning to the end…Tamar’s got the Voice, The Personality and The Beauty which is the Full package..

Let’s see if the Industry embraces her or sleeps on her…

^^^TG...You're not the only one not feeling the song itself...A lot of people online say she's got Killer-Vocals, the Music is fine but the Lyrics don't bring them into the song or it's missing something....Now I liked it the first time I heard it the other day but admit I couldnt make-out some of the lyrics...Once I listen to it a few times I will get the story of the song...Her vocals and the Music is still a knock-out production in my opinion......

She's trying to tell a story with Love & War but I think she loses some people that are focusing on her vocals and not knowing what she's singing about other than staying on the telephone line a long time with some Dude...Or in your case you think the Production should have been better, maybe another ballad or a different sound that sets her a-part........

I love it! She has a great voice and she uses it without overusing it - none of those ridiculous 'gymnastics' you get from Christina etc. I love the strings/orchestral backing of this.

Yeah, I totally hear both the Toni and the Mariah sound in her voice.

She sounds great but I am not really feeling the song. It sounds so generic which is not something I would expect from Tamar. I thought she'd go for a more unique sound for her solo work since she's so out there and loves to stand out.

Same here and I say that as an R&B fan. "Love And War" just doesn't connect for me. That being said, Tamar sounds great. Really liked her performance on "The Wendy Williams Show". All about the vocals with no over-the-top theatrics. Nice.
